Bobo Aung Locket

Master Sri Ong | Chiang Dao, Thailand |
4cm
Mainstream Artifact

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Sacred Craftsmanship

This Bobo Aung Locket was created by Master Sri Ong of Chiang Dao, using sacred relic materials and traditional medicines personally collected from Burma.

Two versions were produced:

  • Gold Background – Gold Takrut: 99 pieces, incorporating Burmese sacred herbs and medicines associated with compassion, attraction and spiritual presence.

  • Blue Background – Silver Takrut: 399 pieces, emphasising Metta, goodwill, protection and favourable relationships.

Each locket was individually assembled using carefully prepared sacred materials. Natural variations in texture, colour, medicinal filling and finishing make every piece distinctive.

The photographs are representative only. A piece will be selected at random, and the item supplied may differ slightly from the exact piece shown in the images.

Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

Among devotees of Burmese spiritual masters, Bobo Aung is often approached during periods when progress appears difficult, particularly in business, career advancement and negotiations.

Luksits have traditionally associated his image with receiving assistance from influential people, improved confidence when dealing with senior figures and opportunities appearing after prolonged uncertainty.

Others describe a gradual improvement in their circumstances rather than sudden changes — smoother discussions, clearer decisions and renewed movement in previously stalled matters.

These experiences reflect Bobo Aung's longstanding reputation for Baramee, wish fulfilment and overcoming obstacles.

Summary

The Bobo Aung Locket represents the spiritual heritage of one of Burma's most celebrated Weikza masters.

Created by Master Sri Ong, it combines Bobo Aung's sacred image, Patthama Siddhi medicine, Burmese Maha Wan herbs, red medicine and a silver takrut within a single devotional artifact.

Its principal qualities are associated with Baramee, protection, Metta Maha Niyom, wish fulfilment and the opening of opportunities.

Historical Background

Bobo Aung occupies an important position within Burmese spiritual tradition, where he is remembered as an accomplished Weikza master associated with meditation, mantra, alchemy and extraordinary spiritual attainment.

Within the Red Medicine tradition recorded for this locket, ten great masters are particularly revered:

Maha Osot Wicha, Sajja Min, Sang Wicha, Phu Tor Ae, Aung Wicha, Pho Min Khong, Bobo Aung, Se Wicha, Phu Tor Piu and Phu Tor Pui.

These masters are traditionally associated with sacred medicines, protective tattooing, meditation, mantra and esoteric practices intended to safeguard devotees and cultivate spiritual accomplishments.

Bobo Aung is also closely associated with Mount Popa, an important centre of Burmese spiritual folklore.

Traditional accounts maintain that Bobo Aung and Pho Min Khong attained extraordinary spiritual accomplishments and made vows connected with the preservation of Buddhism until the coming of Metteyya, the future Buddha.

These narratives belong to Burmese devotional tradition and help explain the enduring reverence surrounding their images.

Origins of the Materials

Master Sri Ong personally travelled to Burma to collect sacred materials associated with the traditional Burmese master lineages.

The reverse of the locket contains several important components:

  • Patthama Siddhi Medicine: A traditional Burmese alchemical preparation associated with spiritual cultivation and protection.

  • Burmese Maha Wan Herbs: Sacred herbal materials associated with Piya, Metta and favourable human relationships.

  • Red Medicine: A consecrated preparation connecting the piece with the Burmese Red Medicine tradition.

  • Silver Takrut: A sacred metal scroll incorporated into the reverse filling.

  • Teacher-Honouring Materials: Elements associated with respect and devotion towards the lineage masters.

Together, these materials distinguish the locket from a conventional portrait amulet, preserving several aspects of Burmese sacred craftsmanship within its construction.

Ritual

The spiritual foundation of this locket follows the Burmese tradition of Wai Kru — honouring and remembering the teachers.

Within this tradition, the image of a revered master serves as a devotional focus through which followers recollect his teachings, virtues and accumulated Baramee.

Bobo Aung's lineage places particular importance on meditation, mantra, sacred medicine and the cultivation of spiritual merit.

The incorporation of Patthama Siddhi medicine, Maha Wan herbs, red medicine and a takrut reflects these traditional practices.

Through its preparation and consecration, the locket was intended to establish a connection with the blessings associated with Bobo Aung and the wider Burmese Red Medicine lineage.

Blessings and Effects

The Bobo Aung Locket is traditionally associated with:

  • Baramee and Authority: Strengthening personal presence, confidence, respect and influence.

  • Wish Fulfilment: Supporting sincere aspirations and the achievement of meaningful goals.

  • Protection: Safeguarding against harmful influences, hostile intentions and unseen disturbances.

  • Metta Maha Niyom: Encouraging goodwill, popularity, favourable relationships and assistance from others.

  • Business and Career Advancement: Opening opportunities, improving negotiations and overcoming prolonged obstacles.

  • Clarity and Guidance: Supporting sound judgement and steadiness during difficult decisions.

Its traditional character combines protection with forward movement, making it particularly meaningful to individuals seeking both stability and advancement.

Modern Application

The locket is particularly suitable for business owners, sales professionals, managers and individuals whose work depends upon relationships and important decisions.

Those experiencing stalled negotiations, limited opportunities or difficult professional circumstances may wear it as a devotional reminder to approach challenges with clarity, patience and confidence.

It is equally appropriate for personal altar placement, especially among collectors who honour Burmese Weikza masters and traditional Lersi lineages.

Beyond material aspirations, the locket also represents respect for the teachers and the importance of cultivating one's own spiritual discipline.

Physical Details

The rectangular locket features a coloured portrait of Bobo Aung seated cross-legged against a blue background, with two smaller images of revered masters positioned above him. The reverse contains a reddish-brown sacred medicinal mixture, a vertically embedded silver takrut and a small dark application of consecrated medicine. The piece is protected within an ornate silver casing with a clear covering and suspension loop. This is the blue-background edition, limited to 399 pieces.

Recommended Pairing

The Bobo Aung Locket may be worn independently, as its traditional blessings already encompass Baramee, Metta, protection and wish fulfilment.

For business purposes, it pairs well with Phra Somdej, Phra Pidta or wealth-oriented amulets, combining personal authority and favourable relationships with prosperity-related blessings.

It also complements Lersi images and other Burmese lineage artifacts, particularly those associated with meditation, spiritual guidance and protection.

Personal Notes

What makes this particular locket interesting is its connection with Master Sri Ong of Chiang Dao and the sacred materials he personally collected from Burma.

The reverse construction is especially noteworthy. Rather than producing a simple commemorative image, Master Sri Ong incorporated Patthama Siddhi medicine, Maha Wan herbs, red medicine and a silver takrut, preserving several traditional elements within a single piece.

The 399-piece blue-background edition offers collectors a distinctive example of Burmese Red Medicine craftsmanship.

For those interested in Burmese Wicha, its appeal lies in the combination of teacher lineage, traditional medicine, sacred materials and limited production, rather than the portrait alone.
