Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

Feedback surrounding this type of piece has centred strongly upon being noticed.

Some luksits described finding it easier to begin conversations with strangers or customers. Situations that previously felt cold or difficult became easier to approach, particularly where the wearer depended upon face-to-face interaction.

The Jinn contributes the stronger pulling current — attention, opportunity and the ability to draw interest towards the keeper.

Together, the traditional purpose is straightforward:

to attract attention, encourage favourable interaction, support sales and business, and turn human interest into material opportunity.

Because the piece is strongly weighted towards attraction and yin-based workings, Por Sala Tan's approach was to balance such an artifact with Baramee, particularly for frequent daily use.

Historical Background

Caves occupy an important position in the older spiritual landscape of Northern Thailand and the border regions.

They could be places of meditation and retreat, but local traditions also regarded certain caves as dwelling places of unseen beings. Jinn, guardian entities, wandering spirits and other presences could become associated with a particular location over many years.

According to the history attached to this piece, the cave was already known locally for the presence of an old Jinn.

A second presence later became associated with the location after a woman ended her own life there. Within the lineage account, her presence remained and became understood as a female Prai.

Por Sala Tan therefore encountered an unusual situation: two different presences occupying the same spiritual environment.

Rather than regarding them as interchangeable, he recognised different qualities in each.

The female Prai carried the softer, attraction-oriented current.

The Jinn carried the stronger character of attention and material pull.

The resulting artifact was constructed around the deliberate combination of these two qualities.

Origins of the Materials

The female Prai component was stabilised through Nam Man Prai together with Wan Kai Daeng.

Within this particular working, Wan Kai Daeng was used to support and anchor the stronger yin aspect of the material, while the NMP acted as the principal medium connecting the Prai current with the completed artifact.

The Jinn required a different treatment.

A fragment of Gaduk Ka associated with the Prai was soaked in vinegar and NMP before being prepared for the front image. In the ritual logic of the piece, this provided a physical medium through which the otherwise unseen Jinn could be given a defined position and purpose.

The reverse contains the prepared ritual substances together with a takrut, providing reinforcement to the completed construction.

The importance lies not simply in the rarity of individual ingredients, but in how Por Sala Tan assigned different materials to the two separate currents before combining them.

Ritual

Unlike many of Por Sala Tan's works that underwent extended periods of preparation, the principal ritual for this piece was said to have been unusually short.

According to the account preserved with the artifact, both presences were considered ready to cooperate and seek liberation through the work.

Por Sala Tan therefore carried out the principal working within approximately one hour.

A single candle with an approximate one-hour burning period was used to define the ritual.

The candle acted as the boundary of the working: invocation, arrangement of the two currents, stabilisation and completion were carried out within that period.

The intention was not to create an uncontrolled spirit artifact, but to assign each presence a specific role within a stable construction.

The Prai was aligned towards Seneh.

The Jinn was aligned towards attention and material pull.

The takrut provided the final stabilising element.

Blessings and Effects

The principal quality associated with the female Prai is Seneh — personal attraction, warmth, approachability and the ability to encourage favourable attention.

This can extend beyond romantic attraction. Within business, Seneh concerns the human element behind opportunity: customers being willing to listen, people remembering the bearer, contacts responding more warmly and negotiations beginning on favourable terms.

The Jinn component adds a different quality.

Its traditional role is pull — drawing attention, opportunities and useful circumstances towards the keeper.

Physical Details

A vertically proportioned Barang amulet featuring a carved Jinn figure on the front, worked in pale natural material and set against a darker surrounding base. The reverse contains a small sealed bottle of reddish NMP-based ritual substance together with a rolled takrut embedded alongside it. The entire artifact is enclosed within a protective casing for personal carry or wear. Natural differences in the carving, material tone, surface and ritual preparation should be expected.
