Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

Among Por Sala Tan's older followers, Salika and Yin Tong creations were particularly appreciated by individuals whose livelihoods depended upon communication, personal charm and regular customer interaction.

Some Luksits working in sales and trading described experiencing warmer responses from customers, with conversations becoming easier to initiate and maintain.

Others recalled that customers who had previously shown little interest became more willing to engage, ask questions or return for further discussions.

Within nightlife and entertainment circles, similar Maha Saneh pieces were traditionally carried by individuals seeking greater confidence and favourable attention during social gatherings.

Several older users associated these amulets with increased familiarity, easier introductions and a more welcoming reception from people they encountered.

Rather than describing sudden dramatic changes, many spoke of gradual improvements in their everyday interactions.

Personal Experience

I have always appreciated the smaller Maha Saneh pieces produced by Por Sala Tan, particularly those combining Salika and Yin Tong Wicha.

During periods when I was regularly meeting customers and handling business enquiries, I found such pieces meaningful as part of my daily carry.

What stood out to me was the emphasis on human interaction rather than purely romantic attraction.

The ability to communicate comfortably, establish familiarity and maintain good relationships is important in almost every business environment.

This particular Salika Ling Tong reflects that practical aspect of Por Sala Tan's Saneh Wicha.

Historical Background

Salika Ling Tong, commonly understood as the Golden-Tongued Salika, occupies an established place within Thai traditional amulet culture.

The Salika bird is associated with pleasant speech, persuasive communication and the ability to attract goodwill through words.

In older Thai and Northern folk Wicha, Salika amulets were frequently carried by traders, merchants, performers and individuals whose success depended upon their relationships with others.

The concept of Metta Maha Niyom refers to goodwill, popularity and favourable acceptance, while Maha Saneh places greater emphasis on personal attraction and emotional magnetism.

Por Sala Tan incorporated both traditions into many of his smaller personal creations.

Around B.E. 2550, he prepared limited quantities of specialised Barang amulets for close Luksits and individuals seeking practical assistance in business, relationships and social interaction.

Many were not intended for widespread distribution.

Instead, they were assembled individually using materials selected for their traditional properties and consecrated according to the particular purpose of each piece.

This Salika Ling Tong belongs to that period of small-scale craftsmanship, when the combination of sacred materials and personal ritual preparation formed an important part of Por Sala Tan's work.

Origins of the Materials

The composition of this Salika Ling Tong reflects a deliberate combination of several traditional attraction-related materials.

Old Paneang Materials

The main body incorporates old Paneang material associated with Yin-based ritual practices.

Within older Northern Thai Barang traditions, Paneang was valued for its connection to emotional attraction, remembrance and personal attachment.

Two Yin Tong Images

Two Yin Tong figures are embedded within the reverse.

Yin Tong is traditionally associated with romantic harmony, personal charm, affectionate relationships and the ability to encourage favourable emotional responses.

The paired arrangement was intended to reinforce these qualities.

Two Ancient Paneang Relic Components

Two older Paneang fragments were included to strengthen the Yin-related characteristics of the amulet.

Such materials were traditionally incorporated into Maha Saneh creations because practitioners believed they could retain ritual associations through repeated consecration.

Playboy Phra Ngan

A small Playboy Phra Ngan component was added to complement the attraction-related qualities of the Salika.

Within Barang traditions, this form is particularly associated with romantic attention, flirtation, confidence and personal magnetism.

Takrut NMP

The Takrut NMP forms another important component of the rear assembly.

Associated with Nam Man Prai and Maha Saneh Wicha, it was intended to support attraction, emotional receptiveness and favourable interpersonal connections.

Together, these materials create a layered composition combining persuasive speech, romantic attraction and social goodwill.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Ritual

Each Salika Ling Tong from this small batch was individually prepared and hand-yanted by Por Sala Tan.

The front was inscribed with a nine-square Maha Saneh Yant, surrounded by sacred characters associated with Salika and attraction Wicha.

Within traditional practice, such arrangements were intended to extend the influence of the blessing beyond a single direction, symbolically surrounding the wearer with favourable social energy.

The reverse components were inserted and arranged during the preparation process.

Por Sala Tan combined the Yin Tong images, Paneang relic fragments, Playboy Phra Ngan and Takrut NMP before sealing the backing.

The pieces were subsequently empowered through chanting and traditional Maha Saneh invocations.

According to accounts of his practice, Por Sala Tan placed considerable importance on harmonising different ritual materials, particularly when combining several attraction-related components within one artifact.

The intention was to create a balanced piece associated with personal charm, emotional receptiveness and smoother everyday interaction.
