Mainstream Artifact

Sacred Craftsmanship

This Keow Hua Chamut is a traditional Barang artifact prepared by Por Sala Tan, combining the spiritual symbolism of the civet with the protective qualities of Suer Wicha.

Each artifact is individually prepared from carefully selected sacred materials. Natural variations in texture, colour, inscriptions and form make every piece unique.

Exact piece as per photo will be given.

Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

Among Por Sala Tan's followers, Suer-related artifacts have long been appreciated by those seeking confidence and protection when dealing with difficult individuals.

Some Luksits describe carrying such charms during business negotiations or when facing challenging situations at work. They recall becoming more confident in expressing themselves, while disagreements that might previously have escalated were resolved more smoothly.

Other devotees familiar with Na Hua Chamut Wicha speak of receiving unexpected assistance through acquaintances, introductions to potential customers or opportunities arising from ordinary conversations.

For those engaged in sales and trading, these experiences are often interpreted as signs of favourable Metta and Chok Larp.

Summary

Keow Hua Chamut represents Por Sala Tan's traditional practice of combining naturally occurring animal relics with sacred yantras and protective Wicha.

This particular piece features Suer yantras inscribed on both sides of the relic, accompanied by a copper Takrut and old Sai Sin.

The combination brings together the attraction and opportunity-seeking symbolism of Na Hua Chamut with the protective authority of Suer Wicha.

Its small size and straightforward construction reflect the practical nature of traditional Northern Thai Barang.

Historical Background

During his journeys through northern Thailand and the mountainous border regions, Por Sala Tan frequently encountered villagers who collected unusual natural materials while gathering forest produce and seasonal harvests.

Animal relics, teeth and other naturally occurring remains were occasionally presented to monks, Lersi practitioners or traditional masters for sacred-object creation.

Por Sala Tan carefully selected suitable materials, keeping them until an appropriate purpose arose.

Unlike temple amulets produced in large batches, many of his Barang artifacts were individually prepared, sometimes following specific requests from devotees.

This Keow Hua Chamut belongs to that tradition of small-scale sacred craftsmanship.

The association with Na Hua Chamut also reflects older Northern Thai beliefs, where the natural characteristics of animals were incorporated into spiritual practices concerning protection, prosperity and attraction.

Origins of the Materials

Keow Hua Chamut – Civet Relic

The principal material is identified as Keow Hua Chamut, associated with the civet.

In Northern Thai folk beliefs, the civet's sharp instincts, elusive nature and ability to locate resources are symbolically connected with recognising opportunities and attracting prosperity.

Its association with natural fragrance and musk also contributes to its traditional connection with Saneh and Metta Maha Niyom.

Suer Yantra

Por Sala Tan inscribed sacred Suer yantras on both sides of the relic.

The Seur represents courage, authority, protection and the ability to overcome threatening circumstances.

Copper Takrut and Sai Sin

A copper Takrut was incorporated alongside the relic, while old Sai Sin was used to secure the materials.

These components form part of the artifact's traditional ritual construction.

Ritual

Por Sala Tan began by selecting and preparing the Keow Hua Chamut relic.

Using his knowledge of Suer Wicha, he inscribed sacred yantras onto both surfaces, intending to establish the protective and authoritative qualities associated with the Seur.

The copper Takrut was then positioned alongside the relic, with Sai Sin used to bind the components together.

The completed artifact was consecrated through Por Sala Tan's traditional Wicha, bringing the relic, inscriptions and accompanying materials into a unified sacred object.

The combination was intended to balance the attraction-oriented symbolism of Na Hua Chamut with the protective strength of Suer Wicha.

Blessings and Effects

1. Maha Lap & Chok Larp – Wealth and Opportunities

Traditionally believed to encourage favourable financial opportunities, unexpected gains and success in commercial dealings.

2. Metta Maha Niyom & Saneh – Attraction

Associated with personal charm, persuasive speech, favourable attention and harmonious relationships.

3. Suer Baramee & Maha Amnat – Authority

Sought for confidence, courage, commanding presence and respect when dealing with others.

4. Klaew Klaad – Protection

The Suer yantras are traditionally associated with protection against hostile intentions, negative influences and unexpected difficulties.

Modern Application

Keow Hua Chamut is particularly suited to devotees who appreciate both protective and attraction-oriented Wicha.

Business owners and salespeople may carry it with the intention of attracting customers, recognising opportunities and improving negotiations.

Those working in competitive environments may value its association with Suer Baramee, particularly when facing difficult individuals or challenging circumstances.

Its compact size makes it convenient for everyday carrying without drawing unnecessary attention.

Physical Details

A small, naturally aged Keow Hua Chamut relic retaining several original teeth, with sacred Suer yantras handwritten in black on both sides. The surface displays ivory-coloured tones, natural dark markings and visible signs of ageing. A copper Takrut rests alongside the relic, accompanied by old brown Sai Sin tied in traditional knots. The complete artifact is preserved within a rectangular transparent protective casing.

Recommended Pairing

Phra Khun Paen – Complements the attraction-oriented qualities of Na Hua Chamut, particularly Saneh, Metta Maha Niyom and favourable relationships.

Nang Kwak – Traditionally associated with attracting customers, business prosperity and financial opportunities.

Tao Wessuwan – Provides complementary protective symbolism for devotees carrying traditional Barang and animal-relic charms.

Personal Notes

What distinguishes this particular Keow Hua Chamut is its straightforward construction and the preservation of the original animal relic.

Unlike the previous variation featuring a prominently drawn Seur image, this piece relies on sacred Suer yantras inscribed directly onto both sides of the relic.

The original teeth remain visible, while the copper Takrut and old Sai Sin complete the traditional arrangement.

The combination of Na Hua Chamut symbolism and Suer Wicha is particularly interesting.

The former is associated with attraction, adaptability and recognising opportunities, while the latter emphasises strength, authority and protection.

Together, they represent the traditional intention of attracting favourable circumstances while maintaining the confidence and resilience needed to overcome obstacles.

For collectors familiar with Por Sala Tan's work, this is a characteristic example of his individually prepared Barang artifacts, where naturally occurring relics and traditional Wicha are brought together without elaborate decoration.
