Naga Sap Up

“Naga of Rising Wealth”
Por Sala Tan

Sacred Craftsmanship

The photographs are representative only. A piece will be selected at random, and the amulet supplied may differ from the exact piece shown in the images.

Each piece was individually carved and assembled by hand from naturally differing sacred relics and ritual materials. Variations in carving, texture, colour and placement of the takruts and other materials make every surviving example individually unique.

Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

Collectors and devotees who received Naga Sap Up frequently spoke about one particular change: their career and working life seemed to become smoother.

Matters that had previously encountered repeated resistance began progressing with fewer complications. Communication with colleagues and superiors improved, projects moved forward more easily, and opportunities appeared at moments when advancement had previously seemed uncertain.

Some devotees described the effect not as a sudden windfall, but as a gradual change in momentum. One opportunity led towards another — a new responsibility, a useful introduction, greater recognition, a customer enquiry or an unexpected opening.

Over time, these smaller movements could place the owner in a noticeably stronger position.

This reflects the original intention Por Sala Tan placed into Naga Sap Up: not merely attracting money, but raising the overall direction of one's fortune so that wealth, work, opportunity and status can progress together.

Summary

Naga Sap Up, meaning “Naga of Rising Wealth,” is a specialised prosperity artifact by Por Sala Tan.

Its defining image is a Naga whose body forms a secure coil while both the head and tail rise upwards.

Por Sala Tan interpreted this posture as a representation of everything rising together:

wealth increasing, fortune improving, opportunities expanding, career progressing and status moving upwards.

The coil beneath represents stability and protection. The upward head and tail represent movement beyond one's present circumstances.

For this reason, Por Sala Tan developed the piece specifically towards wealth fetching, rising luck, increasing opportunities and smooth sailing through work and everyday life.

Historical Background

The Naga occupies an important position within the sacred traditions of Thailand, Burma and the wider Southeast Asian region.

Associated with water, fertility, guardianship and hidden treasures, the Naga naturally developed strong connections with abundance and prosperity. In Buddhist tradition, Nagas are also remembered as powerful protectors of sacred places and the teachings of the Buddha.

The origin of this particular artifact, however, came through Por Sala Tan's travels.

During an expedition towards the border, he encountered an old Burmese hermit who possessed unusual sacred relic materials. A quantity of these relics was subsequently given to Por Sala Tan for his own ritual work.

Some were carved into the distinctive form seen here: a Naga coiling upon itself while both ends of its body rise.

Por Sala Tan immediately recognised the symbolism.

Rather than preparing the relic simply as another protective Naga, he developed it into a dedicated prosperity wicha based upon the principle of Sap Up — wealth and circumstances rising upwards.

Origins of the Materials

At the centre is the sacred relic received from the Burmese hermit, individually carved into the Naga form.

Around this foundation, Por Sala Tan incorporated several materials chosen specifically for prosperity work.

Burmese sacred wax was used as part of the ritual preparation and sealing of the piece.

Wealth takruts were incorporated to reinforce the intention of attracting and retaining prosperity.

Particularly significant was the addition of sacred soil collected from prosperous areas. Such material carries a straightforward symbolic principle within traditional wicha: soil from places associated with successful livelihood, active commerce and abundance is incorporated so that the artifact becomes connected with those same conditions of prosperity.

Sai Sin completes the construction, binding together the principal relic and its accompanying ritual materials.

Ritual

Por Sala Tan prepared Naga Sap Up around a single central principle:

what is already established should continue to rise.

The coiled body represents the foundation — stability, accumulated resources and protection.

The raised head represents looking upwards and moving towards opportunity.

The raised tail completes the movement, so that both beginning and end point towards advancement.

Por Sala Tan combined the carved relic with Burmese wax, wealth takruts and sacred soil from prosperous locations before completing the ritual preparation.

The resulting wicha was directed towards fetching wealth, raising luck, opening opportunities, improving career circumstances and reducing unnecessary obstacles along the owner's path.

Rather than representing prosperity without foundation, Naga Sap Up expresses prosperity that builds upon what already exists and carries it progressively higher.

Blessings and Effects

The central quality of Naga Sap Up is upward financial and personal momentum.

It is traditionally associated with wealth and improved livelihood, particularly where the owner wishes existing income or business activity to grow rather than remain stagnant.

Its wealth takruts and prosperity materials support Sap and Choke Lap, while the rising Naga symbolism extends the intention towards career advancement, greater responsibility, stronger opportunities and improved status.

The artifact is also associated with smooth sailing — allowing negotiations, projects, business matters and professional relationships to proceed with fewer unnecessary complications.

The coiled Naga simultaneously represents protection and stability, giving the upward movement a secure foundation.

Its overall principle can therefore be expressed simply:

protect what has already been built, attract what is needed, and raise everything progressively upwards.

Modern Application

Naga Sap Up is particularly suitable for business owners, professionals, salespeople and individuals whose livelihood depends upon continuing opportunities.

For someone experiencing career stagnation, its symbolism concerns movement towards better positions, recognition and new openings.

For entrepreneurs, it represents growing customers, improving business flow and allowing existing opportunities to develop into larger ones.

For those beginning a new venture, the coiled Naga offers another useful interpretation: establish the foundation first, then allow the enterprise to rise steadily from it.

The piece may therefore be carried during work, negotiations, important meetings, business travel or periods when career and financial advancement are particularly important.

Physical Details

This example features a pale sacred relic individually carved into a coiled Naga with its head and tail rising upwards. It is mounted upon prepared sacred material with wealth takruts, Sai Sin and sacred soil from prosperous areas.

The reverse carries a dark preparation of Burmese sacred wax and ritual compounds, with three takruts prominently incorporated into the surface. The complete artifact is preserved within a clear circular casing.

Recommended Pairing

Naga Sap Up pairs naturally with Metta Maha Niyom pieces where livelihood depends upon customers, negotiations and relationships.

A Metta artifact may support goodwill and attraction, while Naga Sap Up is directed towards turning those openings into continued advancement and prosperity.

It may also be paired with a strong Baramee piece for career advancement or with dedicated Choke Lap artifacts where additional fortune and financial opportunity are desired.

For everyday professional or business use, however, Naga Sap Up is already broad enough to be carried as the principal piece.

Personal Notes

The strength of Naga Sap Up lies in how clearly its physical form communicates its intended wicha.

The Naga does not simply point towards wealth.

It coils first.

That coil represents what a person already possesses — experience, livelihood, relationships, reputation, resources and the foundation created through previous effort.

From that foundation, the head rises.

Then the tail rises.

Beginning and end are therefore directed towards the same destination.

Upwards.

This is why the artifact carries a broader meaning than sudden Choke Lap. Por Sala Tan intended it for those who wanted the entire direction of their circumstances to improve: wealth rising, career rising, opportunity rising, status rising and obstacles becoming easier to navigate.

The experiences shared by devotees — particularly reports that work and career matters became noticeably smoother — fit closely with this principle.

Sometimes prosperity begins not with money suddenly appearing, but with something more fundamental: stalled matters begin moving, useful people appear, opportunities become accessible and one's existing effort starts producing better results.

That is the character represented by Naga Sap Up — the Naga of Rising Wealth: firmly protected at its foundation, yet always pointing upwards.
