Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

This series of Twin Guman originally belonged to a woman who had long hoped to have children but was unable to conceive due to medical reasons. Knowing of her situation, Por Sala Tan personally gave her four pieces, not as a promise of children, but as spiritual companions for her to care for and keep close.

According to the story passed down with the pieces, her circumstances began to change after receiving them. Her small business gradually became noticeably busier, customers returned more frequently, and new opportunities began appearing through introductions and unexpected contacts. Over time, what had once been a modest livelihood developed into a considerably more successful business, and she eventually became financially comfortable.

She attributed much of this change in fortune to the four Twin Guman and continued caring for them as though they were part of her family. For her, their significance went beyond wealth: they became the children she could never have, while the prosperity that followed was regarded as their way of caring for her in return.

These pieces come from that original series of four personally given to her by Por Sala Tan.

This example by Por Sala Tan has been individually carved from Paneang, which was first soaked in specially prepared Metta Maha Niyom herbal oil before carving. The reverse incorporates a carefully assembled collection of sacred ritual materials, including a coffin nail, ceremonial rope used during funeral preparation, Naman Prai, and additional Paneang fragments, while Takruts are attached to both the front and back to reinforce the traditional blessings of protection, Metta and spiritual guidance.

Entirely handcrafted and individually consecrated, each amulet reflects Por Sala Tan's distinctive approach of combining carefully selected sacred materials with traditional Northern Thai ritual practice.

Guman Thong has long occupied an important place within Thai spiritual tradition as a protective companion associated with prosperity, good fortune and loyal guardianship. Over time, certain ritual lineages developed the concept of Twin Guman, drawing upon the symbolism of twin children whose bond represents harmony, unity and mutual support.

Within Thai mystical belief, this twin symbolism is traditionally understood to amplify the qualities already associated with a single Guman. Collectors therefore value Twin Guman for its balanced combination of wealth attraction, protection, personal charm and intuitive awareness.

Por Sala Tan continues this tradition through his own inherited wiccha, preparing each piece individually rather than through mass production.

Origins of the Materials

The body of the amulet is carved from carefully selected Paneang, which has been ritually soaked in Metta Maha Niyom herbal oil before carving begins. This preparation is traditionally believed to unite the physical material with blessings of attraction, harmony and favourable relationships.

The reverse contains several sacred ritual components, including a coffin nail, original funeral rope, Naman Prai and additional Paneang fragments. Takruts are attached to both the front and reverse, completing the structure and reinforcing the amulet according to Por Sala Tan's ritual tradition.

Each material carries its own symbolic role, creating a single amulet whose purpose extends beyond any individual component.

Ritual

Every Twin Guman is individually prepared through a traditional sequence of carving, assembly and consecration.

After the Paneang has been ritually prepared, Por Sala Tan hand carves each figure before carefully assembling the sacred materials and attaching the Takruts. The completed amulet then undergoes meditation, mantra recitation and lineage-specific blessings intended to unite every component into a harmonious whole.

Because each piece is individually assembled by hand, no two examples are ever exactly alike.
