The bottom contains a Takrut, Si Pheng Guman and Nam Man Prai, incorporated during its ritual preparation.

The figure was subsequently covered with red lacquer, followed by hand-applied gold foil. Areas of red remain visible beneath the gold, producing the characteristic aged red-and-gold appearance.

Because the Graduk Chang Graden was individually worked and each figure was handcrafted, natural differences in form, surface texture, lacquer and gold foil make every example unique.
