This B.E. 2560 example was prepared in Bai Lan Nur Phong, giving the amulet its characteristic dark appearance and fine sacred-powder texture.

Bai Lan refers to palm-leaf material associated with traditional manuscripts. Palm leaves were historically used throughout Buddhist Southeast Asia for recording religious texts, teachings and sacred writing. Within amulet making, prepared Bai Lan material may be incorporated into sacred powder mixtures, where it carries associations with scripture, knowledge and accumulated religious tradition.

The Nur Phong body provides a foundation into which Por Nan could combine the material with his ritual preparation and Saneh wiccha.

On the reverse, Por Nan embedded a handwritten silver takrut. The silver sheet serves as a permanent carrier for the sacred characters and katha written upon it.

Each amulet was then individually yanted, giving the pieces the direct character of hand-prepared ritual work.

The reverse contains a prominent handwritten silver takrut embedded vertically into the amulet. Alongside it is Por Nan's individual hand yant, providing another visible element of the ritual preparation.

Natural variations in the powder surface, inscriptions and finishing give each individually prepared example its own character.
