Historical Background

Saneh has long formed part of Thai folk and occult traditions concerned with attraction, affection and personal relationships.

Pong Prai Gaduk Pee

Pong Prai Gaduk Pee is one of the important ingredients incorporated into this B.E. 2560 Mae Per.

Within Thai occult terminology, Pong refers to a ritual powder, while Prai describes spirit-oriented wiccha. Gaduk Peerefers to a traditional spirit-linked material used in certain Prai preparations.

After ritual preparation, it may be combined with other sacred powders according to the practitioner’s lineage and intended purpose.

Por Nan Anon then hand-yanted each individual piece. On this example, the sacred writing appears prominently in red across the reverse.

This Mae Per was created by Por Nan Anon in B.E. 2560 (2017).

The front depicts a female effigy with pronounced feminine characteristics. A phallic form is positioned towards the lower body, representing the amulet’s traditional connection with Maha Saneh, attraction and intimacy.

The body has an earthy grey-brown appearance reflecting its sacred powder composition, including Pong Prai Gaduk Pee. Natural particles and variations can be seen throughout the surface.

The reverse carries a large red sacred yant individually handwritten by Por Nan Anon. Variations in the sacred writing, powder texture and surface are natural characteristics of individually prepared pieces.

The photographed example is protected within a fitted clear casing with a suspension ring for everyday wear.
