Luang Pu Thuat is said to have placed his foot into the seawater, causing the surrounding water to become fresh.

This gave rise to the famous title Luang Pu Thuat Yiap Nam Thale Jued, commonly understood as Luang Pu Thuat who stepped upon seawater and made it fresh.

Over generations, his image became strongly associated with protection during travel and Klaew Klaad.

The front depicts Luang Pu Thuat seated in meditation upon a decorated base. His mature facial features, monastic robes and seated posture follow the familiar imagery associated with the revered Southern master.

The reverse shows the folds of his monastic robe across the shoulders and back.

The Nur Phong has developed an aged earthy appearance, with natural variations visible throughout its surface. Each piece may therefore display its own differences in texture, tone and mould definition.
