I once owned a solid-gold version of this Rian Kom Lek. Among devotees of Luang Phor Up, its wish-supporting reputation is well known, and this was one of the pieces that left a strong impression on me.

I later sold it to a friend who was starting a business. He was not previously interested in Thai amulets and told me he would simply wear it as a lucky item. During his first week, business was average, though he managed to make a small daily profit.

This amulet was cast in takua, or lead. In Thai sacred craft, lead is traditionally valued as a receptive material, associated with absorbing adverse influences and holding ritual intention.
