Sacred Craftsmanship

This two-sided Phra Rahu is a distinctive creation of Phra Kritsada Khantiko, widely known as Arjan Note or Ac Nuad, of Wat Pong Sanuk Nuea, Lampang Province.

Created according to traditional Northern Thai Lanna Wicha, the amulet brings together two complementary manifestations of Phra Rahu:

  • Rahu Om Suriya – Rahu swallowing the Sun, represented by the rooster.

  • Rahu Om Jan – Rahu swallowing the Moon, represented by the rabbit.

Each artifact is individually handmade from carefully prepared sacred materials. Natural variations in texture, colour, gemstone appearance and finishing make every piece unique.

Exact piece will be given

Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

Among followers of Arjan Note, his Phra Rahu creations are particularly associated with overcoming difficult periods involving financial pressure, workplace politics and persistent obstacles.

One account concerns a follower who had been experiencing repeated difficulties at work. Despite carrying out his responsibilities, he frequently found himself involved in disagreements and was concerned that certain colleagues were speaking against him.

After obtaining a Phra Rahu, he continued wearing it during his daily work. Over time, he noticed that several troublesome situations gradually settled. He also became more careful about whom he trusted and felt better able to handle difficult colleagues.

He later described the amulet as a source of reassurance during a particularly stressful period.

Other Luksits have spoken of carrying Rahu amulets when facing unstable business conditions or prolonged personal difficulties. Rather than reporting sudden changes in fortune, they commonly describe gradual improvements, renewed confidence and opportunities arising after periods of uncertainty.

Summary

The Phra Rahu Om Jan – Om Suriya combines the solar and lunar manifestations of Rahu within a single two-sided artifact.

Its principal significance lies in the traditional belief that Rahu provides protection against adverse influences throughout the complete cycle of day and night.

The rooster represents the Sun, livelihood and visible challenges, while the rabbit represents the Moon, intuition and protection against concealed difficulties.

With only 39 pairs reportedly created, the series is an uncommon example of Arjan Note's specialised Rahu Wicha.

The addition of blessed Ploi gemstones and its extended ritual preparation further distinguish this creation within the Northern Thai Lanna tradition.

Historical Background

Phra Kritsada Khantiko (Arjan Note / Ac Nuad) was a respected practitioner of traditional Lanna Wicha associated with Wat Pong Sanuk Nuea in Lampang Province.

His spiritual training was connected with the lineage of Kruba Nanta Nanto of Wat Thung Man Tai, which preserved older Northern Thai practices concerning sacred inscriptions, astrological timing and ritual consecration.

This tradition also maintained historical connections with Phra Anochai Thammajinda Muni, an important ecclesiastical figure associated with Lampang.

Arjan Note became known for his Lanna-style Sak Yant, handmade Si Pueng, Wa Tanoo, Yin Tong and Phra Rahu creations.

His work was particularly associated with protective Wicha, Metta, authority and the removal of obstacles.

Among close followers, he was sometimes described as Bah Wicha, an informal expression reflecting his intense dedication to studying and practising sacred knowledge.

Arjan Note passed away in B.E. 2569 (2026), leaving behind a body of traditional sacred creations valued by his disciples.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Origins of the Materials

The amulet was prepared according to traditional Lampang ritual practices associated with the Phra Rahu lineage.

Its most distinctive features are the blessed Ploi gemstones, incorporated into the two Rahu representations.

The rooster and rabbit symbols reflect traditional associations with the Sun and Moon, expressing the relationship between opposing but complementary celestial influences.

The original amulet body has a gold-toned surface with darker areas around the raised details. Its exact underlying material composition has not been independently established.

The piece is now enclosed in a decorative gold casing, with engraved borders surrounding the oval amulet.

Ritual

According to accounts associated with Arjan Note's disciples, the preparation of this Phra Rahu series required particular astrological periods rather than ordinary consecration dates.

Rahu Om Suriya was associated with the solar aspect of the ritual, while Rahu Om Jan represented its lunar counterpart.

Within traditional Lanna astrology, Rahu is closely connected with eclipses, changing planetary influences and the transformation of adverse circumstances.

Both representations were prepared to symbolise a complete cycle of protection, covering the visible and concealed aspects of human difficulties.

The blessed Ploi gemstones formed part of the ritual composition.

The preparation and consecration reportedly extended over approximately two years, with only 39 pairs ultimately completed.

Blessings and Effects

The two-sided Phra Rahu is traditionally associated with:

  • Day and Night Protection: Symbolising continuous protection through the solar and lunar manifestations.

  • Reversal of Misfortune: Overcoming prolonged bad luck, obstacles and unfavourable circumstances.

  • Protection Against Xiao Ren: Guarding against workplace jealousy, slander, betrayal and concealed opposition.

  • Career and Business Stability: Supporting livelihood, professional advancement and financial opportunities.

  • Metta Maha Niyom: Encouraging goodwill, favourable relationships and harmonious interactions.

  • Spiritual Protection: Traditionally associated with guarding against harmful influences and disturbances.

  • Karmic Balance: Symbolising the transformation of adverse influences and the restoration of personal stability.

Modern Application

The Phra Rahu Om Jan – Om Suriya is particularly relevant to individuals working in competitive environments or experiencing periods of uncertainty.

Business owners and professionals may appreciate its association with overcoming obstacles, maintaining authority and protecting their livelihood.

Those concerned about workplace politics, concealed opposition or difficult relationships may place particular importance on its lunar representation.

For devotees familiar with Chinese metaphysical traditions, its protective symbolism also corresponds with concerns surrounding Xiao Ren, or individuals believed to create difficulties through jealousy and hidden intentions.

The two-sided construction allows both representations to remain together, symbolising protection throughout the complete cycle of day and night.

Personal Notes

I had previously visited Wat Pong Sanuk Nuea and knew friends who were close disciples of Arjan Note. Despite these connections, I never had the opportunity to meet him personally.

He had also visited Singapore on one occasion, yet our paths did not cross.

Following his passing in B.E. 2569, this remains a missed opportunity, particularly when reflecting upon his dedication to preserving traditional Lanna Wicha.

What makes this Phra Rahu especially interesting is the combination of its two celestial representations within a single artifact.

The Sun and Moon, rooster and rabbit, and the respective Ploi gemstones were brought together to express the traditional belief in protection throughout the complete cycle of day and night.

Its limited production of 39 pairs, together with the extended period of ritual preparation, adds to its significance among collectors of Arjan Note's sacred creations.

The newly fitted gold casing complements the aged gold-toned relief while preserving the original appearance of this uncommon two-sided Phra Rahu.
