Phra Phuttha Chinnarat Cast Medal – Wat Thong Noppakhun (B.E. 2463 / 1920)

Wat Thong Noppakhun in Bangkok was once among the most respected meditation temples of its era. The temple’s sacred objects are revered for their deep spiritual charge and proven experiences across generations. Among serious collectors, the Phra Chinnarat cast medal and Phra Kring “Puen Thieng” from this temple are regarded as benchmarks of invulnerability (Maha-Utt), protection, and enduring sacred power.

This Phra Phuttha Chinnarat cast medal was created in B.E. 2463 (1920) under the direction of Phra Khru Hem Noppakhun, then abbot of Wat Thong Noppakhun. Known as the “Puen Thieng” batch, it was made using traditional double-mold casting with a distinctive golden-green alloy shared with the Phra Kring from the same ceremony.

Why This Medal Is Exceptional

This particular piece stands out not only for its history but also for its investment value and authenticity. Many of the masters involved—such as Luang Pu Suk, Luang Pu Boon, Luang Phor Thap, and Somdet Phra Nawam—are now surrounded by high controversy and extremely expensive fakes.

For example, Luang Pu Suk’s genuine pieces can command $8,000–10,000 SGD, and rarer types exceed $50,000–80,000 SGD. Similarly, Luang Pu Boon’s Chao Suea made from the same loha alloy regularly sells above $50,000 SGD. The fact that both Luang Pu Suk and Luang Pu Boon were present in this same ceremony makes this Phra Chinnarat medal truly historic—possibly the only known consecration where both were together.

Because this medal shares the same loha material, yet remains far more affordable, it represents a safer investment—powerful, authentic, and free from the risk of high-end counterfeits. Its aging, patina, and mold characteristics are distinct and easily verifiable, making it one of the most secure collectible pieces from that era.

Spiritual Lineage and Blessings

Each master present contributed a specific wicha and spiritual current:

  • Luang Pu Suk (Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao) – One of Thailand’s three greatest masters, known for baramee (divine prestige) and miraculous protection. His presence alone magnifies the amulet’s invulnerability and commanding aura.

  • Luang Pu Boon (Wat Klang Bang Kaew) – Brings wealth-fetching and prosperity blessings. His Chao Suea tigers, made of similar alloy, are legendary for fortune and protection.

  • Luang Phor Thap (Wat Anongkharam) – Master of fire meditation; his energy burns away karmic obstacles and illnesses, transforming misfortune into renewal.

  • Somdet Phra Nawam (Wat Anongkharam) – Renowned for consecrating metal-based Baimakam amulets; enhances spiritual stability, clarity, and charm.

  • Luang Pu Iem (Wat Nang) – Famed for his metal Phra Pidta; contributes wealth, luck, and defense against spiritual harm.

  • Luang Phor Im (Wat Hua Khao) – Expert of lost-wax casting, the same method used for this medal. Old temple bells and centuries-old Buddha fragments were melted into the loha, giving this piece hundreds of years of accumulated baramee from prior worship and chanting.

  • Luang Phor Phring (Wat Bang Pakok) – Known for blessings of fortune, charm, and success in business endeavors.

  • Luang Pu Phueak (Wat Thong Noppakhun) – The temple’s own meditation master, infusing the medal with continuous wealth and protective energy.

  • Luang Phor Ee (Wat Sattahip) – The palakit master whose metta and attraction powers are famous; his influence adds magnetism and likability to the wearer.

Why It’s Worth Owning

This Phra Chinnarat medal embodies a perfect combination of spiritual power, rarity, and safety.

  • Spiritually potent – Blessed by over 30 of the greatest masters of the era, each representing wealth, protection, healing, and metta.

  • Financially sound – Shares the same sacred materials and ceremony with items worth tens of thousands, yet remains undervalued and less likely to be counterfeited.

  • Collectible condition – This piece is in 90%+ original state, with clear mold seams, original loop, and aged patina untouched by restoration.

For collectors or practitioners seeking one amulet that balances wearability, authentic wicha, and secure long-term value, this Phra Phuttha Chinnarat of Wat Thong Noppakhun stands among the best. Its blessings are fast, efficacious, and anchored in one of the most powerful consecrations ever recorded in Thai amulet history.
