The dream of owning a piece of Ac Toh's Somdej is mostly a dream for most as the prices are high and even with money suitable pieces are hard to come by.

Also it is not viable to be wearing a national treasure as a daily wear for fear of mishandling etc.

Over many years of me in this trade I've often enquired as to what the dealers in Thailand themselves wear. And over 20 years one amulet kept popping up which is the Somdej 2509.

The reason for this is the 2509 is one of the rare few amulets that contain a high concentration of Ac Toh's powder as this was made very shortly after the discovery of the pieces that were made in 24xx. As the original pieces that were in good condition went for high prices even then, the broken ones and the left over powders were abundant and people at that time did not realise the powers and value.

Today a broken piece can fetch thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars, even repaired pieces can cost a fair bit.

This powder brings about the blessing of wealth and protection and increases baramee which is vital for daily communication and task the higher your baramee the less lightly you will make mistakes and stay laser focused so you can perform your task to a maximum quality/effectiveness.

As such success comes naturally and goals/wishes fulfilled.

This is a beautiful piece that I've kept in my collection for many years. If you're looking for a piece with a history linked closely to Ac Toh, this would be it.

Amulet Production Details

The Somdej Bang Khun Phrom BE 2509 amulets were prepared in advance, beginning in October BE 2508 and completed by the end of November BE 2508. The sacred powder was mixed, and the amulets were pressed within the ordination hall. The first amulet was pressed by Luang Pho Chom as an auspicious act, followed by committee members and devoted practitioners.

Two Main Types of Amulets

For enshrinement in the chedi – Each amulet required a donation of 1 baht and had a stamped inscription "บรรจุ" (enshrined). A total of 84,000 amulets were created.

For personal devotion and distribution – Required a donation of 10 baht per amulet, except for the Reclining Buddha type, which was 25 baht.

A complete 11-piece set (excluding Reclining Buddha) was 100 baht. These amulets had a chedi-shaped stamp on the back.
