Within esoteric practice, however, the principle extends beyond simply attracting customers. Kwak methods may be directed towards drawing opportunity, money, benefactors and favourable encounters towards the practitioner.

The Ngern Kwak Chamud reflects this practical tradition. Por Sala Tan prepared only a limited number for individuals involved in commerce and livelihood activities, where the emphasis was upon everyday application rather than ceremonial display.
