Summary

Consecrated by Por Sala Tan in Chiang Dao, this Mini Temple Pillar was created using powdered remnants from an ancient Lanna stupa over six centuries old. Formed in the likeness of a northern-style temple pillar, it was produced for a community restoration ceremony attended by more than 100 monks. This sacred piece anchors baramee, stabilizes fortune, and supports new beginnings in career, business, and life direction — a foundational amulet for both collectors and practitioners seeking spiritual stability.

Historical Background

This Mini Temple Pillar of the North was produced during a fundraising and restoration effort in Chiang Dao Province, where the remains of a 600-year-old temple were discovered. The site’s stupas had long collapsed, leaving behind sacred stones that retained their charge from centuries of veneration. Local devotees gathered these remnants and ground them into fine powder to form small Lanna-style pillars — symbolic of enduring faith and structural renewal.

Origins of the Material

The powdered material used in molding this piece was taken directly from the ancient temple ruins. These stones were once part of the stupa body, believed to contain residual blessings accumulated through countless chanting cycles and merit-making ceremonies over the centuries. Incorporating this substance ensures that the new pillar carries both historical continuity and energetic memory from the former sacred structure.

Ritual

The consecration took place over two days. The first day was led by the white-robe Arjans, including Por Sala Tan, who invoked ancestral spirits and temple guardians through Lanna-style incantations and yantra offerings. The second day followed with a grand ceremony of over one hundred monks, who collectively transferred merit to the ancient temple and blessed all newly formed relics. This dual consecration — by ascetic masters and ordained monks — created a rare fusion of worldly and spiritual empowerment.

Blessings and Effects

This Mini Temple Pillar serves as a stabilizer of fortune and a foundation of baramee.
It fortifies personal energy fields, converts misalignment into steady progress, and acts as a spiritual “root” for one’s endeavors.
Within a collection, it functions as a grounding centerpiece that harmonizes the surrounding energies, particularly valuable for those working with barang or multi-natured amulets.
It embodies the principle of anchoring merit — transforming instability into strength and continuity.

Modern Application

Ideal for individuals entering new phases of life, such as starting a career, launching a business, or rebuilding after hardship.
It is also favored by those whose 8 Zi pillars or yearly charts indicate weakness, acting as a substitute or reinforcement pillar for personal fortune.
Some devotees present it as a symbolic gift for graduates or newly employed individuals, representing the planting of a stable and prosperous foundation.

Physical Details

Standing about one inch in height, this piece is modeled after a Lanna temple pillar, its surface displaying natural gold patina and ceremonial oxidation. Each is encased in hand-crafted silver, reflecting the distinct northern aesthetic of sacred architecture and preservation.

Recommended Pairing

This pillar harmonizes powerfully with Deva-based amulets such as Hanuman, Jatukarm, or other celestial protector images, amplifying their active energy and divine responsiveness.
For collectors of barang or spirit-based items, it also functions as a stabilizing core — enhancing efficacy, coherence, and protection within a mixed altar or portable set.
