Mae Ba Nang Lueng was a Cambodian witch of extraordinary magical ability, celebrated for her unmatched mastery of Khmer wiccha. Her potent seneh (attraction) made her irresistible to anyone who sought her help, whether for love, reconciliation, or wealth.

However, she was equally feared for her darker powers, capable of cursing enemies, aiding criminals, and altering the spiritual realm.

Her life took a fateful turn when she broke her vow of celibacy for a traveler radiating baramee (charisma) and strong yang energy, resulting in her pregnancy and the loss of her magic. Overcome by despair, she ended her life by hanging herself.

After her death, her vengeful spirit wreaked havoc in the village:
