Summary

This Pikanet piece was blessed in Tachilek, Myanmar during the traditional water festival period, in a ceremony connected to a mahout community that had gathered monks and forest masters to pray for the protection, health, and longevity of their elephants. During that gathering, Por Sala Tan was presented with several old relics and keepsakes that the mahout had preserved over many years. One of those relics became the foundation for this very piece.

The front carries a deeply carved image of Pikanet, representing wisdom, obstacle removal, strategic thinking, and the ability to progress through difficult phases in life. The rear contains one of the more unusual combinations associated with Por Sala Tan’s older cross-border ceremonies — a hand-moulded Parod Sivali, 108 sacred herbs, and a pair of Takruts placed specifically to stabilise and harmonise the energies within the amulet.

At approximately 1.5 inches and housed in a custom silver casing, this is the type of classic all-rounder piece many long-time devotees search for when they want a single amulet that can accompany them daily without needing complicated pairings.

Historical Background

Tachilek has long been an important crossing point between Northern Thailand and Myanmar, especially for monks, traders, mahouts, and forest practitioners moving between mountain routes. During water festival periods, ceremonies involving blessings for livestock, travel safety, health, and prosperity are extremely common in these regions because many believe the transition into the new cycle of the year is when karmic momentum can either strengthen or weaken.

The mahout involved in this ceremony was known to keep old ritual objects connected to his elephants. In older traditions, elephants were never viewed simply as working animals. They were regarded as highly spiritually sensitive beings capable of sensing danger, changes in weather, hostile intent, and unseen energies. Because of this, relics connected to elephants were often preserved carefully and only handed to trusted monks or masters.

Por Sala Tan was invited into the ceremony together with several monks and ritual practitioners. One of the attending masters specialised in Parod Sivali, a rare style of wealth-focused ritual material associated with movement, sustenance, and continuous support in life. In many older traditions, Sivali is connected to abundance that follows a person naturally wherever they travel.

The decision to place the Parod Sivali on the back of this Pikanet was intentional. Pikanet opens the road. Sivali sustains the journey.

Origins of the Materials

The carved material of the main body carries an old-world texture rarely seen in newer commercial pieces. The energy profile of the piece was further reinforced through the insertion of the Parod Sivali at the rear compartment.

Among older practitioners, Parod is viewed as a living ritual substance. It is traditionally associated with absorbing negativity, weakening hostile influences, and stabilising the surrounding atmosphere around the wearer. At the same time, it is believed to strengthen baramee, clarity, decisiveness, and momentum in one’s life direction.

Por Sala Tan requested for the Parod Sivali to be embedded together with 108 herbs and a pair of Takruts. The herbs were included to soften and balance the fiercer absorbing qualities of the Parod while simultaneously enhancing prosperity and smooth human relationships.

The Takruts serve as the harmonising structure of the piece. In many Northern methods, Takruts are not simply protective inserts. They function almost like energetic channels, directing and stabilising how the internal materials interact with the wearer.

Ritual

The blessing ceremony itself was conducted during the Myanmar water festival period, a timing associated with cleansing, karmic renewal, and transition into a stronger life cycle.

Prayers were initially performed for the elephants under the care of the mahouts. Such ceremonies traditionally focus on protection from accidents, illness, black magic, and misfortune during travel or labour. As the gathering progressed, additional blessings were performed over the relic materials that had been brought forward.

The Parod Sivali was blessed separately before being installed into the rear cavity of the Pikanet. This is significant because Sivali-related ritual work is often performed independently to preserve its wealth-drawing and support-giving qualities.

The final harmonisation involved the insertion of the herbs and Takruts before sealing the piece.

Blessings and Effects

This is a highly complete style of Pikanet amulet. The blessings extend beyond obstacle removal alone.

For business owners and career-focused individuals, the piece is traditionally associated with smoother progress, reduction of repeated setbacks, improved decision-making, and attracting support from benefactors or senior figures. Many devotees seek Pikanet specifically during periods where they feel blocked mentally, financially, or professionally.

The Sivali component gives the piece a very practical grounding. The energy is less about sudden windfalls and more about sustained progress, consistent opportunities, smoother negotiations, and maintaining momentum over long periods.

The Parod element is believed to absorb negative intent, weakening harmful atmospheres, jealousy, and bad luck accumulated through difficult environments or hostile people. In older circles, pieces containing Parod were commonly carried by traders, travellers, and businessmen who constantly moved between different places and people.

The inclusion of the 108 herbs softens the overall energy and makes the piece easier for daily wear. Human relationships, communication, and social harmony tend to improve over time when the wearer maintains proper conduct and consistency.

Modern Application

In modern settings, this is the type of piece that suits entrepreneurs, salespeople, corporate professionals, business owners, and devotees of Ganesha seeking a stable all-round amulet focused on life progression.

Many people today chase highly specialised pieces for one specific purpose. This Pikanet belongs to the older school of thought where one properly made piece could accompany a person daily and cover multiple aspects of life simultaneously.

Personally, pieces blessed during cross-border ceremonies involving forest monks, mahouts, and travelling masters have always carried a different feeling when worn over long periods. The energy tends to feel grounded and stable. Not overly aggressive, but very supportive during periods where one is rebuilding momentum or trying to push through stagnant phases in business and life.

This is especially suitable for people entering new career phases, expanding businesses, changing industries, or seeking clearer direction.

Physical Details

The amulet measures approximately 1.5 inches and is housed in a custom silver casing.

The front carries a detailed carved Pikanet image with strong old-style Northern and Burmese visual influence. The rear houses the hand-installed Parod Sivali together with the pair of Takruts and sacred herbal blend.

The silver casing complements the older ceremonial style of the piece well and gives it a strong classic presentation suitable for daily wear.

Recommended Pairing

This piece functions strongly on its own and does not require complicated combinations.

For devotees who still prefer pairing, it works exceptionally well with baramee-oriented Buddha pieces, Somdej, or Kring styles focused on stability and authority. The Pikanet opens pathways while the supporting baramee pieces strengthen the wearer’s ability to sustain and capitalise on the opportunities that arise.
