Por Sala Tan’s Tree-Pod Takrut – Nature-Deva Seneh Wiccha with Old Village History
This piece by Por Sala Tan is a traditional tree-pod takrut, a form of khruang rang (power-object) that goes back to one of the oldest strata of Thai spiritual practice: using natural objects that are believed to be “born powerful.” Certain pods, seeds, or fruits—especially those with unusual shape, hardness, or colour—are regarded as containing a naturally awakened force, sometimes linked to the tree’s own deva or protective spirit.
In the old days, masters like Por Sala Tan would select these pods only from specific trees with strong spiritual presence. Before removing anything, they would perform a permission ritual to acknowledge the deva of the tree. Once the pod is taken, it becomes a vessel ready to receive wiccha. This is the same principle behind Look Sawat and other sacred seeds that have been used for protection, luck, and charm for generations.
The piece you see here has been varnished with tree sap, which serves two purposes:
-
To preserve the pod, sealing in its natural spiritual charge.
-
To bind the energy, making it responsive to seneh and metta chanting.
Inside is a takrut inserted by Por Sala Tan, anchoring seneh wiccha into the pod’s natural charm. This combination—nature-deva + takrut wiccha—is extremely effective when dealing with personal attraction and influence. Unlike heavy prai pieces, this kind of charm works quietly. It creates ease, warmth, and openness in conversations, and gently shifts the emotional atmosphere around the wearer.
This particular piece also has a very specific history. In the village where Por Sala Tan lived and worked, many men carried this pod secretly. They kept it hidden from their wives because the seneh effect was too obvious—women would show unexpected interest or kindness, and interactions outside the household became noticeably smoother. These charms were never displayed; they were worn quietly inside pockets or pouches, a private helper for personal charisma and daily influence.
Tree-pod talismans like this one are also appreciated because they are stable and safe. Unlike prai-based charms that require strict handling, nature-based amulets maintain their power through respect and intention rather than ritual feeding. You simply carry it, and the energy responds on its own.
Por Sala Tan selected the pod himself, varnished it with sap, and inserted the takrut before blessing it with seneh chants. The final result carries:
-
natural charm from the pod,
-
magnetism from the takrut,
-
and subtle metta from his blessing.
For those who prefer seneh that is not aggressive but deep, quiet, and consistent, this is one of the most refined forms you can collect. It carries the atmosphere of the old forests, the deva of the tree, and the seneh wiccha of Por Sala Tan—all bound into a single, understated piece.
