Deity / Master

This piece represents the Payanak Lersi, or Naga-Head Hermit Sage — a manifestation of wisdom and spiritual guardianship drawn from both Lanna and ancient serpent traditions. The Naga, long regarded as protector of sacred waters and keeper of spiritual treasure, symbolizes power beneath calmness, knowledge beneath silence. When merged with the Lersi archetype, it embodies the awakened mastery of both realms — the insight of the hermit and the protective strength of the serpent guardian.

Historical Background

Por Sala Tan’s method for such relics followed a ritual process rooted in Lanna and Burmese meditative wiccha. Before carving, he would enter trance meditation using relic materials already filled with spiritual memory. During one such session, an enlightened naga-form entity appeared — a Lersi spirit from the Naga plane — merging the wisdom of the sage with naga consciousness.
Por Sala Tan then co-consecrated the materials, imprinting mantra vibrations before the carving began. The sculpture thus became a vessel for awakened energy rather than a lifeless form.

Blessings and Effects

This Payanak Lersi emanates authority, intuitive protection, and calm perception. It refines instinct, allowing one to sense unseen influences and understand human intention clearly. Those who meditate with it often experience heightened awareness, lucid dreams, and subtle spiritual warning before misfortune.
The energy also cultivates an unshakable aura of dignity — enhancing the wearer’s ability to lead, teach, and influence with quiet confidence.

Materials

The image is carved from gaduk, a relic material revered for holding the spiritual essence of departed masters. Gaduk serves as a permanent conductor of energy — living, responsive, and capable of storing mantra resonance. The figure is bound with ritual cord (sai sin) to preserve containment, with two small takruts embedded along the side and a larger takrut in the base sealing the Payanak Lersi invocation. The pointed naga-shaped head represents enlightenment emerging from the serpent realm, symbolizing transformation of primal energy into higher wisdom.

Usage in Modern Life

This relic benefits practitioners who seek clear vision, intuitive strength, and inner calm when facing uncertainty. It is equally suitable for business owners, healers, and spiritual cultivators who rely on discernment and respect rather than force.
Keeping it near the altar or workspace enhances clarity in communication and shields against deception. Worn on the body, it acts as a silent guardian — harmonizing one’s spiritual and worldly responsibilities with wisdom and restraint.
