Deity / Master
This amulet invokes the power of Tao Wessuwan, the guardian of the North and supreme ruler over spirits, demons, and malevolent forces. Within Thai and Khmer traditions, Tao Wessuwan is both protector and enforcer, a deity whose presence ensures that evil cannot approach and treachery is unmasked. The piece was created within the lineage of Por Sala Tan, a master renowned for his fierce protective wiccha. While his seneh and metta amulets softened enemies through attraction and likability, he also crafted talismans for times when goodwill alone could not prevail. For situations of betrayal, rivalry, or black magic, he turned to the uncompromising forces of Tao Wessuwan, Garuda, and Wa Tanoo.
Historical Background
The yantra of Wat Lamut has a long and complex history. Some accounts attribute its introduction to a Khmer monk named Ajarn Thiw, who travelled from Cambodia to Ayutthaya and brought the wiccha with him. Others maintain it was cultivated locally at Wat Lamut itself, where generations of abbots preserved and transmitted the knowledge. Regardless of origin, what is certain is that this wiccha became one of the most respected talismanic traditions of Ayutthaya and gradually spread across Thailand, finding especially strong resonance in the North, where Tao Wessuwan is deeply venerated.
Por Sala Tan and his students valued the sacred lead alloy associated with Wat Lamut, believed to hold exceptional potency for moulding amulets. They carried this lead to the Northeast, where they further developed the yantra by combining it with additional sacred materials. Over time, this tradition became recognised as a direct continuation of the Ayutthaya source, fused with the power and ritual precision of Por Sala Tan’s own lineage.
Blessings and Effects
The amulet is a weapon against both visible and unseen dangers. On the occult level, it is famed for repelling sorcery, curses, and spiritual interference. Tao Wessuwan’s authority ensures that hostile entities, whether ghosts or wandering spirits, cannot come near. On the social and human level, it acts as a safeguard against betrayal, envy, and backstabbing—dangers especially common in business and politics.
When goodwill and metta fail to convert adversaries, this amulet stands as the final defence, breaking apart schemes and neutralising those who plot harm. At the same time, it strengthens baramee—the moral and spiritual authority that allows one to command respect and act decisively in difficult situations. For those who must lead, negotiate, or stand firm against opposition, the blessings of this piece provide both a shield and an empowering presence.
Materials
The front of the amulet is cast in the sacred Wat Lamut lead alloy, a metal famed for its strong repellent energy. The reverse is filled with nang kwai fapar, or lightning-struck Wa Tanoo, an extremely volatile material charged by natural celestial force. To stabilise this intense energy, Por Sala Tan inserted multiple takruts as harmonisers, allowing the components to blend rather than clash. The entire structure is set within a base of Burmese holy soil, chosen for its grounding and binding qualities. The process was not a quick one: the combination of lead and Wa Tanoo required long ritual stages, layered chants, and precise mantra-work before the piece could safely be considered complete.
Usage in Modern Life
In today’s world, betrayal and rivalry are not confined to the battlefield; they appear in offices, boardrooms, and markets. This amulet is suited for those who work in competitive or politically charged environments, where rivals may attempt to undermine one’s position. It not only deflects harmful intent but also empowers the wearer with the authority and inner strength to overcome daily challenges. Business owners, leaders, and negotiators often turn to such pieces to maintain both protection and presence.
The amulet also balances its fierce qualities with the cultivation of baramee. Rather than functioning as a blunt weapon, it refines the wearer’s standing, ensuring that protection is matched with the charisma and respect needed to succeed in human affairs.
