This piece represents a rare Burmese incarnation of Lersi Ta Fai, created by Por Sala Tan with extraordinary care and lineage reverence. It is carved from gaduk chang kraden, a sacred material historically linked to spiritual grounding and durability, and further infused with holy soil from Mount Popa in Burma—an epicentre of hermit and nat spirit veneration.

The consecration was not a single event but a triple empowerment, conducted twice in Burma and once more at Por Sala Tan’s own residence. This was done to bridge traditions and ensure that the full essence of the Burmese hermit lineage was preserved within the form. The intention was to honour one of the highest Lersi masters who attained nirvana. The gaduk chang itself was once carried and used by this master as a meditation tool, making the material already alive with layers of accumulated samadhi and spiritual energy before being shaped into its present form.

Function and Blessings

  • Vision and Foresight – As Lersi Ta Fai is revered for his ability to see clearly into events and karmic pathways, this amulet channels that same blessing. It assists the wearer in reading situations, foreseeing opportunities, and avoiding unseen dangers.

  • Meditative Support – The essence of the hermit tradition is embedded in the material itself, making this especially powerful for those engaged in meditation or inner practice. It sharpens focus, stabilises energy, and deepens states of concentration.

  • Guidance and Intuition – The amulet acts almost like a compass for spiritual practitioners, offering subtle nudges and insights that align the user with auspicious directions in both worldly and spiritual life.

  • Protection and Authority – While foresight is its primary strength, the piece also radiates the commanding presence of Lersi Ta Fai, providing protective aura and ensuring respect in the spaces where it is worn.

Usage

It may be worn in the same manner as a Lersi amulet—for meditation practice, for decision-making, or simply as a guiding influence in one’s daily life. For those who wish to engage it more deeply, placing it on an altar allows its energy to extend over the household, guiding the family as a whole.

This is not only a talisman but also a preservation of lineage essence, carrying within it the meditative strength of a hermit who once walked the path to liberation. Por Sala Tan’s work ensures that this baramee continues to benefit practitioners today, connecting Burma’s sacred mountain traditions with the Northern Thai stream of wicha.
