Lersi Image

2cm (Small)

These are remarkable relics with a story that ties directly into Por Sala Tan’s practice and the sacred environment he maintained. They were originally kept submerged in a clay pot filled with holy water, a vessel used by Lersi masters and visiting monks. The water was both consumed as a form of spiritual medicine and drawn upon to replenish the sanctified water stores of temples.

Over time, this pot became a central ritual object. According to accounts, a powerful jinn broke the vessel, and at the bottom were discovered a small number of amulets—among them these lead-alloy images.

Recognized immediately for their significance, Por Sala Tan placed them back into his own holy water pot, where they remained until his passing. The surface condition, marked by water erosion and deposits, is evidence of decades of immersion, giving each piece a distinct aged character that speaks to its ritual history.

The material itself—lead alloy—is traditional in older esoteric casting. Such metal is linked with baramee, the spiritual authority and accumulated merit that grants direction and stability in life. These images of this type are considered guides: they do not simply protect, but they help orient their keeper toward correct choices, sharpen clarity in decision-making, and strengthen the path of practice.

Because they were kept within Por Sala Tan’s personal holy water vessel, their potency is doubled: they absorbed the ritual blessings of countless ceremonies, as well as the daily infusion of chants, offerings, and the master’s own baramee.

For collectors and practitioners alike, these are not ordinary amulets but living spiritual objects that witnessed and participated in decades of sacred use.
