2.5" Large piece more for altar
This Pidtong was created at Wat Tanoo Boran in 2550, during what became Por Sala Tan’s final Wai Kru. After this event, he would no longer preside over such ceremonies, making the batch a closing chapter in his spiritual work.
Only seventy-seven pieces were produced. More than half were immediately taken across the border by his Burmese disciples, who valued them highly for protection against spirits, sorcery, and the dangers of long travel. In the city, however, his followers were already using Wa Tanoo for different purposes—strengthening business, warding off rivals, and shielding against betrayal.
The materials chosen carried deep significance: seven types of holy soil from Burma combined with the bone ash of a buffalo struck by lightning, a natural occurrence regarded as charged with raw celestial force. Each piece was wrapped simply in plastic, keeping attention on the sacred core rather than ornament.
Distribution was tightly controlled. Only one amulet was given per person, ensuring fairness and keeping the power of the batch spread among those with true faith. These particular pieces came through Ac Lek, who emphasized his father’s wishes: the price must be kept accessible, a portion of all sales dedicated to charitable donations, and those with the boon to receive such a piece should dedicate merit to their ancestors and wandering spirits.
As the last batch of Wa Tanoo made under Por Sala Tan’s direct hand, this Pidtong carries not just protective power but also the weight of finality. It is remembered both for its efficacy and for the master’s intention that its blessings be extended beyond the owner to the living community and the unseen world alike.
