Por Sala Tan

This Phaya Purisat by Por Sala Tan is one of his most spiritually charged works, created from ancient relic materials and empowered through a process of careful harmonisation. The front shows the fierce guardian form of Phaya Purisat, a symbol of protection, authority, and the safeguarding of truth. On the reverse are embedded paneang relics of old Lersis and monks, drawing in accumulated baramee (spiritual merit and authority) from masters of the past. Their combined presence gives the amulet a depth of energy that is both protective and elevating.

Because of the sacred blend of relics and powders, this piece required extensive balancing. Por Sala Tan achieved this with multiple takruts, each carrying specific incantations to align the forces within. The addition of a coffin nail from a monk’s old coffin further strengthens the piece, grounding the energy and linking it to the cycle of impermanence and renewal.
