The Pla Taipan Tang Neer is a fish-shaped takrut amulet personally made by Por Sala Tan in Tachilek, Myanmar, around B.E. 2500. Each piece was crafted by folding copper or brass sheet in the form of a fish. With every fold, Por Sala Tan chanted a wealth and metta mantra, layering blessings into the takrut step by step. By the time the piece was completed, it held the accumulation of repeated invocations for prosperity, sales success, and loving-kindness.
This amulet is not only spiritually functional but also artistic in form. The meticulous folding process creates a stylized fish, symbolizing abundance, movement, and continuous flow of fortune. As such, it is both a work of art and a powerful ritual object.
According to Ac Wai of Myanmar, this batch was co-chanted with Kruba Sethi of Tachilek and initially circulated only within Myanmar. Later, the wiccha spread to Thailand where it was championed by Luang Phor Jong of Wat Natangnok, whose disciples further established the Pla Taipan as one of the most popular krung ruang (mystical items) for wealth and trade.
Compact, easy to carry, and widely trusted for results, this piece continues to be valued among merchants, business owners, and collectors as a classic item for wealth fetching, sales prosperity, and attraction through metta.
