This 3-inch Lersi Ser Ming Pai piece by Por Sala Tan represents one of the most unusual and spiritually weighty works from his hand. It was created using paneang suer relics (suer graden) that had, in life, entered into a state of submission under the grace of a forest Lersi.
The tiger is said to have followed the Lersi into his cave, living side by side until both entered samadhi there. Encounters like this are almost unheard of testament to the depth of metta and spiritual authority of the master. The only other widely recounted story in similar vein is that of LP Pinut, who was followed by a monkey companion until his passing.
Both masters Lersi Ser Ming Pai and the tiger are remembered for their extraordinary baramee in metta. That even a wild, dominant predator would choose to dwell in peace beside an ascetic demonstrates how compassion and wisdom extend beyond human understanding.
When Por Sala Tan entered the cave, he could still feel their presence. He performed the last rites, cremating the remains there, and recovered relics. Among these was a loop om relic from the Lersi, which he carefully embedded into the back of this piece, alongside harmonizing tarkruts radiating like a yantra to channel and stabilize the energies.
The blessings of this amulet are centered on wisdom, guidance, and protection. The presence of Lersi Ser Ming Pai guides practitioners to make decisions with clarity, avoiding reckless or destructive impulses.
His influence steadies the mind in meditation, helping one recognize the right path amidst confusion. The energy of the tiger relic adds strength, courage, and protective authority, allowing the bearer to face adversity with dignity and composure. Together, these elements build both inner resilience and external respect, creating a balance between compassion and strength.
Collectors and wearers who have lived with pieces of Por Sala Tan made from these relics often recount a distinct quality: when faced with difficult choices, a natural clarity arises; when confronting hostility, situations often dissolve without escalation.
The amulet is therefore regarded as a source of quiet guidance and protective baramee, carrying the legacy of a rare encounter where human wisdom and animal power met in harmony under the shadow of the forest.
