Keow Moo Tong Deang is one of the most time-honored protective charms in Thai and Southeast Asian animist tradition. It embodies raw survival power, strength, and resilience, drawing on the Moo tong Deang's nature to confront danger directly and endure hardship.

In amulet use, it is recognized for its ability to grant invulnerability (Kong Grapan), evasion of danger (Klaew Klaad), and authority (Maha Amnaj). For centuries, these Keow Moo were prized by warriors, hunters, and those in dangerous occupations for their inherent spiritual force.

Por Sala Tan’s Consecration

This particular Keow Moo, measuring 2.5 inches, carries additional significance as it was personally prepared and empowered by Por Sala Tan. To intensify its potency, he sealed the base with Burmese wax, a rare and highly charged substance used in Lanna and Burmese wiccha for binding, protection, and spiritual resilience.

The wax not only fixes the essence within the Keow Moo but also harmonizes its energy for long-term use, ensuring that its powers remain active and stable. Por Sala Tan was known for carefully layering his blessings, often chanting over such pieces repeatedly until the essence within became “awake” and responsive.

Protective Qualities and Uses

Beyond general invulnerability, this Keow Moo is noted for being especially effective against betrayal and backstabbers—a property tied to both the natural character of the wild boar and the Burmese wax infusion. The Keow Moo projects a commanding aura that discourages hidden enemies, deceit, and harmful intent. It also brings with it the traditional blessings of wild boar relics:

  • Physical Protection – shielding against weapons, accidents, and sudden dangers.

  • Authority & Respect – enhancing leadership and presence, especially for those in positions of command.

  • Charisma & Support – drawing goodwill and allies, while repelling those with ill intent.

  • Wealth & Fortune – as part of its animist inheritance, wild boar tusks are also seen to draw luck and prosperity when properly venerated.

A Rare Collector’s Piece

At 2.5 inches, this Keow Moo is both practical for carrying and substantial enough to house the full force of its spirit. Inscribed with yantra and sealed with Burmese wax, it stands as a classic example of Por Sala Tan’s northern Lanna approach—direct, raw, and effective. For collectors and wearers, it represents not just a protective talisman but also a relic of a master whose pieces were deeply rooted in authentic animist power.
