This amulet depicts Pu Lersi Narod, crafted by Por Sala Tan from gaduk chang relics combined with the cremation relics of Lersi Narod himself. Lersi Narod passed away at the age of 103 at Wat Tham Fang.
As is common with forest hermits and ascetics, some who grew old would eventually leave their caves or remote dwellings and take shelter in temples, where monks would both care for them and learn from their deep wiccha. When Lersi Narod passed, he was cremated in the manner of a forest monk, and relics were discovered among the ashes.
From these sacred remains, Por Sala Tan produced a limited batch of 108 amulets, each individually carved. No two pieces are identical, as each was shaped with its own character. Many of these were retained by monks who had studied under or respected Lersi Narod, meaning very few left the temple and entered circulation.
The amulet is regarded as a channel to connect with Lersi Narod’s spiritual presence. In meditation, owners have reported visions of the Lersi himself, and some lay devotees who wore the piece even received dreams or direct guidance—at times in the form of lottery numbers, a reflection of the playful and cheeky side often attributed to certain lersis. While not meant to encourage gambling, such interactions highlight the living spirit believed to reside within the piece.
In Chinese mysticism, a comparable figure is the wandering ascetic Ji Gong, who likewise combined eccentricity with deep spiritual power. Pu Lersi Narod’s relic amulets carry this same energy—bridging strict spiritual discipline with a human warmth that continues to guide and protect devotees.
