Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

Among Por Sala Tan's followers, Jinn artifacts are particularly appreciated for experiences involving unexpected assistance, improved intuition and timely protection.

One account concerns a devotee working in insurance sales who had been experiencing difficulties securing new clients. Despite repeated meetings, his negotiations frequently ended without results.

After carrying a Jinn obtained from Por Sala Tan, he began noticing changes in how he communicated with potential customers. Conversations became more comfortable, and he felt increasingly confident when presenting his proposals.

He later secured an important client whose business helped him through a particularly difficult period in his career. He attributed the improvement to the Jinn's assistance, particularly in matters of persuasive speech and attracting opportunities.

Other Luksits describe receiving subtle warnings before making important decisions. Some recalled feeling unusually hesitant about a journey or agreement, only to discover circumstances that later justified their caution.

Such experiences have contributed to the Jinn's reputation among devotees as a spiritual companion that offers assistance through intuition, favourable encounters and unexpected opportunities.

Summary

This Jinn is a traditional Barang artifact created by Por Sala Tan from materials recovered alongside the remains of a forest Lersi.

The central figure was carved from the Lersi's sacred relic, while old wood discovered at the same location was incorporated into its construction.

Sacred yantras, old Sai Sin and consecration ceremonies performed in the cave and during the full moon complete its traditional preparation.

The artifact is principally associated with spiritual guidance, protection, intuition and assistance in attracting favourable opportunities.

Historical Background

During his journeys through the mountainous forests along the Thai–Burmese border, Por Sala Tan frequently encountered locations associated with old Lersi practitioners and traditional forest ascetics.

According to the account preserved with this artifact, villagers searching for medicinal herbs discovered the remains of a Lersi deep within the jungle.

The practitioner was believed to have remained undisturbed in deep meditation for many decades before his remains were discovered.

Recognising their spiritual significance, the villagers did not immediately disturb the site.

Instead, Por Sala Tan was invited to investigate and conduct the appropriate ceremonies.

After completing the necessary prayers and observances, the remains and associated materials were respectfully recovered.

Some were subsequently used for sacred-object creation, while the remaining materials were preserved for future use.

Origins of the Materials

Forest Lersi Relic

The central Jinn figure was carved from a sacred relic associated with the forest Lersi.

Within traditional Lersi beliefs, the remains of accomplished ascetics are sometimes regarded as spiritually significant because of their association with prolonged meditation and religious discipline.

Old Sacred Wood

The wooden sections were prepared from old material discovered alongside the Lersi's remains.

Rather than introducing unrelated wood, Por Sala Tan retained material originating from the same location, preserving the connection between the practitioner and his surroundings.

Old Sai Sin

Traditional sacred thread was used to bind the relic carving and wooden components together.

The Sai Sin serves both a practical purpose and a ritual function, symbolically uniting the materials within the completed artifact.

Ritual

Por Sala Tan first conducted the appropriate prayers and ceremonial observances at the location where the Lersi's remains were discovered.

Following their respectful recovery, selected relic materials were prepared for the creation of sacred artifacts.

The Jinn image was individually carved and inscribed with yantras before being combined with the old sacred wood.

Sai Sin was then used to bind the components together.

According to the traditional account, the artifacts underwent consecration within the original cave, maintaining their connection with the Lersi's place of meditation.

Further chanting ceremonies were conducted at the village during the full moon.

Through these observances, Por Sala Tan intended to establish the Jinn as a benevolent spiritual companion capable of providing guidance, protection and assistance to its keeper.

Personal Notes

What distinguishes this particular Jinn is its connection to the remains of an old forest Lersi.

Unlike conventional Jinn artifacts created from ordinary wood or prepared powders, this piece incorporates a relic carving and sacred wood reportedly recovered from the same location.

According to the traditional account, the Lersi had remained in deep meditation within the forest for many decades before his remains were discovered by villagers searching for medicinal herbs.

Por Sala Tan was subsequently invited to conduct the necessary ceremonies before the materials were respectfully recovered.

Of particular interest is the decision to preserve the original association between the materials. The Lersi relic forms the central Jinn figure, while the old sacred wood recovered alongside it completes the construction.

The addition of Sai Sin and the subsequent consecration ceremonies within the cave and during the full moon further reflect Por Sala Tan's traditional approach to sacred-object preparation.

In Islamic and Arabian traditions, Jinn are understood as unseen beings possessing free will, capable of both benevolent and harmful behaviour. Within certain Thai and Burmese occult practices, however, Jinn imagery has been incorporated into local spirit traditions, where such beings are sometimes regarded as guardians, messengers or spiritual companions.

Por Sala Tan's Jinn artifacts belong to this latter interpretation, emphasising guidance, protection, opportunity and assistance rather than aggressive spiritual practices.

For collectors familiar with his work, the significance of this piece rests in the relationship between the Lersi's relic, the original sacred wood and the ceremonies performed at the place of discovery.

It represents an older tradition of Barang craftsmanship in which the provenance of the materials is considered as important as the completed sacred form.
