Not all Guman are the same—and this is one of the most unusual origin stories in our collection.

This piece was created after a strange occurrence during harvest season. A Wa Tanoo (forest buffalo) was struck by lightning in the field but was not cleared immediately by the farmer due to ongoing crop work. Strangely, night sightings of a young boy spirit began to appear near the carcass. Villagers reported seeing the same child multiple nights, standing next to the remains of the buffalo.

Por Sala Tan was eventually called to investigate. Through meditation, he discerned that the boy was not random—he had become attached to the Wa Tanoo as a spirit companion, almost like a pet clinging to its protector. When the buffalo died, the boy’s spirit became restless and unanchored.

🔻 The Ritual

Por Sala Tan performed a gentle summoning and settling ritual, honoring both the spirit of the boy and the energy of the fallen animal. He then crafted a small Guman amulet using the kao kwai relic, infused it with Tid Jai relics, and harmonised the spirit with a base takrut.
