Suer 3 Tau Yu Bon Doi
Triple Tiger Over the Mountain – A Personal Pilgrimage Relic by Por Sala Tan
An Unscripted Amulet of Baramee and Metta
This is no standard piece. The Suer 3 Tau Yu Bon Doi—meaning "Triple Tigers Resting on the Peak"—is a hand-carved pendant from the personal lineage of Por Sala Tan, constructed during his later years as he transitioned from forest pilgrimage to home based blessings. It is made using keow suer boran, a revered jungle relic material passed down through his network of senior ajarns and elder forest wanderers.
Purpose-Built for Pilgrimage
Originally, pieces like this were carried by ascetics and masters venturing deep into forests, borderlands, and caves, sometimes reaching as far as Northeast India or remote Karen territories. In those environments, the amulet served two main functions:
-
Baramee (Noble Presence): So one would be respected by wild beings, spirits of the land, and local villagers, rather than challenged.
-
Metta (Compassionate Aura): To allow safe passage, invitations to shelter, and blessings from the unseen.
The tiger motif, especially in threes, represents a commanding field of spiritual authority—not to dominate but to hold space. In Lersi traditions, this symbolizes mastery over the three realms: Heavens, Earth & Hell (Underworld)
A Necklace of Circumstance, Not Design
Later in life, as Por Sala Tan stayed closer to his own altar space, he began assembling such pieces using whatever materials were available nearby. This necklace was one such creation built when he saw spare beads, old takruts, or unused cords lying around.
-
The beads are of unknown but energetically active material—possibly gaduk or resin
-
The tiger-carved pendant remains the central spiritual anchor.
-
The Takrut Hua Jai Prah Phrom (Heart of Brahma) was added as a universal force amplifier—great for wish manifestation, mental clarity, and boundary protection.
Nothing here was random. Though it may appear like a loose collection of objects, those who knew Por Sala Tan understood he arranged things when the moment was right, not according to aesthetic.
Spiritual Effects and Compatibility
Despite its raw, informal construction, this piece contains multi-layered spiritual coding:
-
Baramee Aura – Commands respect in new environments, business or travel
-
Metta Mahaniyom – Enhances interpersonal harmony, brings helpful people
-
Protective Field – Especially for journeys, spiritual work, or conflict zones
-
Mind-Link to Brahma’s Clarity – Through the embedded Takrut, intentions can find clearer paths to manifestation
Importantly, this piece can be paired freely with any other amulet—mainstream or barang. It was never designed to dominate or clash. It harmonizes, much like Por Sala Tan himself did when traveling across lineages and traditions.
