Wa Tanoo by Por Sala Tan – Early-Era Spare Piece, Later Framed in Silver
Passed to Ac Lek’s Family | Old Forest Tradition | Spiritually Anchored but Never Previously Worn
This is a rare, early-era Wa Tanoo (ว่านตะนะ) from Por Sala Tan’s personal consecration batch, kept in temple storage and only recently surfaced. It was never distributed to the public, and instead kept as a reserve piece, later given to one of Ac Lek’s children for safekeeping.
🔍 Artifact Profile
-
Material:
Hand-formed from traditional wan herbs, blackened over time and embedded with ritual oils and elemental ash. The rope and central coil are visibly aged—yet preserved—indicating its long rest period in a sacred space. -
Form:
Sculpted in the classic Wa Tanoo posture—a symbolic representation of the guardian spirit that wards off dark energies and ill-willed spirits.
The figure is upright and intact, bearing the dense spiritual aura associated with forest-lineage protective spirits. -
Framing:
Recently cased in silver, with clear-glass exposure front and back to preserve its form. This was done when the piece was passed down from Ac Lek’s altar to his children as a spiritual keepsake.
🪵 What Is Wa Tanoo?
Wa Tanoo is a forest talisman spirit often associated with:
-
Warding off spirits, curses, and gossip
-
Blocking enemies and malicious intent
-
Protecting travelers and those working late into the night or in hostile environments
Unlike prai-based amulets, Wa Tanoo draws its energy from elemental spirits and sacred herbs, and does not require feeding. Its presence is felt as a constant perimeter of energetic vigilance—quiet but alert.
🧬 Lineage & Sentimental Value
This particular piece was not made for sale or circulation. It comes from a batch intended for internal use by close disciples and family of Por Sala Tan. When Ac Lek's child received it, it was still raw and unframed—kept in a bundle of forest amulets that were too rare to give out casually.
Only recently, as a means of spiritual inheritance, it was framed in silver—not for resale, but for remembrance and safe personal use.
For those who understand the real lineage pieces, this is a relic—not a product.
