This is a piece unlike any other in Por Sala Tan’s collection — one that carries profound spiritual weight, and a story known only to those close to the samnak.

The Grand Yoni is crafted from the yoni flesh of a female ascetic, a secluded practitioner who lived alone in a forest hut near Por Sala Tan’s residence. Villagers often brought her food and water, though it was not uncommon for offerings to remain untouched for days — she was frequently in deep meditation, known for her ability to liberate wandering spirits with compassion and clarity.

One day, however, a powerful Mae Hong Prai entered her presence — a spirit known for extreme yin force and emotional intensity. The ascetic attempted to liberate it alone. But this was no ordinary ghost. By the time Por Sala Tan sensed the disturbance and arrived, it was too late. The Mae Hong Prai had overwhelmed her, and both their essences had fused — not peacefully, but through possession.

The atmosphere was heavy. The forest itself turned quiet.

Por Sala Tan performed a rare dual liberation ceremony, to release both the ascetic and the spirit that had overtaken her. The process was long, intense, and not without risk. Once completed, the ascetic’s body was left lifeless, her baramee spent in full.

Out of spiritual responsibility and respect, only certain relics were kept — the rest of her remains were cremated with proper rites. The yoni seed and a small paneang relic were preserved and are now housed in the back of this amulet, along with guiding tarkruts inscribed to help ground the energy and direct its force.
