This is one of Por Sala Tan’s more infamous creations — a Khun Pean seated atop Yak Lung, a forest jinn spirit known throughout Thailand’s highways and provincial roads.

If you've travelled across the country, you've likely seen shrines with towering statues of an old man and woman, placed just off the roads. These aren’t standard local guardian deities — they are Yak Lung and his consort, forest jinn who reside in liminal zones between provinces. They’re respected, unpredictable, and often associated with raw elemental forces and seneh energy.

Por Sala Tan carved this piece from gaduk chang, a deeply saturated bone relic material, known for retaining and amplifying spirit essence over time. The amulet was then soaked in NMP (Naman Prai) for years — allowing the energy to fully penetrate and settle into the relic. Over this, he layered a corpse cloth wrapping before stuffing the inner cavity with a dense mix of traditional materials:

  • Cemetery soil, for anchoring the energy

  • Paneang from Pii Tai Hong, to intensify seneh and pull

  • Other baramee-charged herbs and powders known in Thai occult circles

Yak Lung himself is considered a hybrid entity — not fully human, not fully jinn, often found entangled with Ngan energy. While the figure in this piece is Khun Pean, the vehicle beneath him changes the nature of this amulet entirely.

Energetic Profile:

  • High Yin energy, deeply magnetic and charming in both spiritual and social spaces

  • Known for causing unintended romantic attraction — especially toward married men

  • Seneh that borders on dangerous — seductive, unpredictable, often pulling attention from unexpected sources

  • Can draw in wealth and opportunity through human channels — favors, gifts, and attention

Por Sala Tan himself used to joke that this kind of piece is a “home-wrecker” — not in an evil sense, but because it tends to make the wearer more desirable than they probably should be. In his words:

“Sometimes the husband wears it, and suddenly his wife’s friends start asking him too many questions.”
