This is a Wind Yak one of four brothers who once guarded the highest cave networks in the mountains of Northern Thailand. Rarely seen, even by forest monks, these beings were said to control not just the winds, but the very aura of the cave, keeping both intruders and evil spirits at bay.

But what makes this particular piece so unique is not just the relic but the story behind it.

Years ago, a local woman, broken by the betrayal of love, wandered into the cave network. Alone, heartbroken, and with no will to return, she quietly allowed herself to fade away starving to death within the very womb of stone and silence. Her spirit remained… but not in peace.

Over time, she absorbed the chaotic essence of the cave—the leftover power of the yaks and jinns that had lived there for centuries. She became a pii tai hong, fierce and territorial, rejecting the presence of any soul who dared disturb her realm.

Then came a Lersi an ascetic who entered to meditate, unaware of what dwelled within. He felt her presence immediately. But he was no ordinary spirit worker. He had cultivated deeply, and though she attacked again and again with illusions and emotional weight, he stood unmoved. In his final act, he invoked the essence of Mae Torani, the Earth Goddess, and the energy settled. He died there in meditation, achieving his final liberation.

Decades later, Por Sala Tan was drawn to the cave—not knowing the full story, only that the energy was unlike any other. There, during meditation, he discovered the remains of the Lersi—fused with the last trace of the pii tai hong who now longed not to haunt, but to escape.

From these sacred relics, this Yak mask was carved:

  • Front: The face of the Wind Yak, guardian of the high caves, made from relics and bone touched by lightning and mountain storm.

  • Back: Gaduk (bone) relics of both the Lersi and the pii tai hong, stabilized and soaked in sacred vinegar and Nam Man Prai to neutralize aggression and bind blessings into the piece.

This is a lost Lanna occult technique, no longer practiced by any master we know today.

The power of this piece is layered and deep:

  • Fierce protection from betrayal, black magic, and backstabbers

  • Strong attraction of wealth and respect, drawn from the commanding wind energy of the Yak and the spiritual merit of the Lersi

  • A calm yet potent presence—this is not a haunted piece, but a balanced one, forged through suffering, meditation, and ritual liberation.
