Por Sala Tan often needed to activate his sixth sense — not for spectacle, but for the deep and delicate work he did. It was a nail-shaped piece, carved from a dark, heavy material that bore the feel of old time and deeper silence. To most, it was just a strange object. But to Por Sala Tan, it was a key.

The relic came from a legendary Lersi Pu Dam (Black), a hermit who had devoted his life to fire meditation. This sage sat for years beneath the brutal sun, and before bonfires that roared through the jungle night. His skin grew dark as coal, his body covered in ash and soot — not from neglect, but from devotion. He wanted to burn away illusion until only truth remained.

The villagers called him a seer.

Some claimed he could see death before it arrived.
Others said he whispered winning lottery numbers to the poor.
