Luang Phor Yod (Inthasaro) was born in B.E. 2418 (1875) in Ban Don Phai Kaew, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province. His parents were Mr. Chim and Mrs. Suk. When he was a child, his parents brought him to study Dharma and Pali at Wat Don Wai, where he lived under the care of Phra Ajarn Tim, the abbot of the temple at that time. He studied Pali until he had a strong foundation in Dharma, then ordained as a monk at Wat Don Wai with Phra Ajarn Tim as preceptor. After ordination, he pursued deep study of Buddhism and meditation, traveling to learn with many great teachers of the era such as Luang Phor Rhong (Wat Tha Phut), Luang Phor Parn (Wat Bang Nom Kho), Luang Phor Pho (Wat Don Yai Hom), and several others.
Luang Phor Yod was particularly skilled in meditation and sacred incantations (wicha). He became well-respected for his ability in both Dharma practice and protective blessings. He often made amulets and sacred objects to support the faith of lay devotees. Among them, his most famous creation was the Phra Pidta, which was made from sacred powders, herbal materials, and metals. His Phra Pidta is regarded as especially powerful for protection, invulnerability, dispelling evil, and bringing prosperity.
It is said that those who possessed his Phra Pidta experienced safety from danger, unexpected fortune, and obstacles being removed. Many miraculous stories circulated during his lifetime and after, increasing the demand for his amulets.
He passed away in B.E. 2480 (1937), leaving behind a strong spiritual legacy. His Phra Pidta remains among the most revered and sought-after amulets from Nakhon Pathom. Collectors and devotees alike continue to treasure them for their power, sacredness, and historical significance.
