Phra Phuttha Chinnarat – Luang Pu Pueak, Wat Kingkaew (Year 2485 BE / 1942 CE)
In 1942 (B.E. 2485), during the challenging times of World War II, Thailand faced great uncertainty. In response to the situation, Wat Suthat, under the guidance of Phra Khru Sri Sonthi, initiated the creation of the Phra Phuttha Chinnarat amulets.
These amulets were designed not only to provide spiritual protection but also to raise funds for temple restoration efforts. The amulets were distributed to disciples for safekeeping during wartime.
Luang Pu Pueak of Wat Kingkaew, a revered monk known for his spiritual depth and close ties to Phra Khru Sri Sonthi, was invited to participate in the consecration ceremony of these amulets. After the casting of the amulets at Wat Suthat, they were brought to Wat Kingkaew, where Luang Pu Pueak performed the final consecration rituals, infusing the amulets with spiritual blessings.
The purpose of this collaboration was to ensure that the amulets would serve as powerful protectors for the Thai people during a time of conflict, while also generating funds for necessary temple restorations.
The amulets are crafted from a blend of brass and ancient silver, resulting in a unique whitish-yellow appearance. These amulets are highly valued for their reputed ability to provide protection from danger, misfortune, and to help in matters of healing. They are also believed to offer blessings of compassion and invulnerability, making them a popular choice among collectors and devotees.
The Phra Phuttha Chinnarat amulets from Wat Kingkaew are rare and cherished for their historical significance, representing a critical period in Thailand's history. Today, they continue to be treasured for their powerful blessings and as a symbol of resilience and spiritual protection during times of hardship.
