Historical Background
Phra Khru Thammanukul, known as Luang Pu Pu of Wat Intharavihan, was the foremost disciple of Somdej Phra Phutthachan (To Phromrangsi) of Wat Rakhang, the creator of the Somdej Wat Rakhang amulet—revered as the Emperor of Thai amulets. Luang Pu Pu was entrusted with continuing Somdej Toh’s spiritual and ritual legacy, mastering both deep meditation and sacred sciences.

He was trained directly in the five great powders:

  • Phong Itthije – for spiritual power and will

  • Phong Na Pathamang – for protection and invulnerability

  • Phong Maharach – for authority and charisma

  • Phong Trinisinghe – for dispelling danger and negativity

  • Phong Mul Kaccayana – for metta, charm, and fortune

Luang Pu Pu frequently accompanied Somdej Toh on forest pilgrimages, where he developed both mastery in Vipassana and the meditative focus required for sacred powder creation. After Somdej Toh’s passing, Luang Pu Pu continued the construction of the Giant Standing Buddha (Luang Pho Toh) at Wat Intharavihan and created amulets for donors supporting the project.

Creation and Materials
Luang Pu Pu’s amulets were crafted over several periods, with the earliest batches composed of dense, soft sacred powders—characterized by fine texture, natural aging, and deep color tone. Each piece carries the meditative strength and spiritual essence of the Wat Intharavihan lineage.

Among his most respected works is the Phra Pidta Saeyit. The first batch was distributed primarily to junior civil servants and government officers, as well as local businessmen who contributed to the temple’s restoration. Within a few years, many recipients experienced significant advancement—civil servants rising to high ranks, and business owners expanding their wealth many times over. These consistent results established the Phra Pidta Saeyit as a trusted charm for career elevation, prosperity, and protection.

Even today, senior officials, judges, and long-time association members (kamakan, samakom) continue to wear Luang Pu Pu’s Phra Pidta, honoring its enduring power and unbroken lineage from the era of Somdej Toh.
