In the 1990s, when Luang Por Prom’s name was especially prominent among devotees and businessmen, a senior friend who first introduced me to this master shared a story that stayed with me.

At the time, his business was struggling under heavy debt. He had made matters worse through gambling, losing money he did not have, until every available credit line with the banks was exhausted. With creditors pressing him and no clear way forward, he went to seek Luang Por Prom’s blessing.

Luang Por Prom gave him this Phra Nur Pong Roop Muean.

He could only afford a simple plastic casing then, but he wore it every day. Slowly, circumstances began to shift. Debtors who had long owed him money unexpectedly started repaying him. Soon after, several businessmen in the same trade offered him credit for raw materials—support he badly needed to keep the business alive without further cash pressure.

That breathing room allowed him to make his first genuine profit. He repaid the banks, rebuilt step by step, and eventually grew the company into a business with more than $10 million in annual revenue. Years later, he sold the company and retired comfortably.

He always told me that this Roop Muean and Luang Por Prom’s Phra Kring were the two pieces that changed his life. When his fortunes improved, he upgraded the simple casing to a thick gold frame. Today, the amulet is worn by his son, now a successful lawyer.

Historical Background

Luang Por Prom of Wat Khanon Nuea was one of the leading masters of Ayutthaya in his era. His sacred objects were respected not simply for their craftsmanship, but for the depth of their yantra design, ritual tradition, and the broad range of blessings devotees associated with them.

His name was especially strong among people seeking protection, personal strength, stability in business, and a way through difficult periods of life.

Luang Pu Si of Wat Sakae, himself a highly respected master of the same broad era, was quoted as saying:

“Whoever is known to be tough, whoever seeks invincibility, and whoever wishes for wealth—visit Luang Por Prom of Wat Khanon Nuea.”

This speaks to the standing Luang Por Prom held among his peers and devotees alike.

Origins of the Materials

This first-batch Roop Muean was pressed from sacred powder, formed into Luang Por Prom’s portrait image. It was produced in two primary tones: white and chocolate brown. Both are attractive and desirable, though the brown version is often regarded as the more difficult one to locate.

A special feature of these pieces is the presence of Luang Por Prom’s hair relics embedded in the powder body. For collectors, this is not merely a physical detail; it is a direct and personal link to the master whose blessing gave the amulet its meaning.

The powder body, hair relics, and early BE 2513 issue together make this a piece that carries both collector significance and devotional depth.

Ritual

The reverse carries the Thao Yantra, also known as Yant Kru Ta Saeng. This is a sacred design associated with Luang Por Prom’s early creations, including his first-edition coins.

The yantra is divided into meaningful sections. At its upper portion is Isawasu, recognised as the heart of the Triple Gem—Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha. It is drawn from the traditional Buddhist refuge chant and represents the central spiritual foundation of the amulet.

The lower portion bears Namo Putthaya, known as the heart of the Five Buddhas:

• Na — Phra Kukuksandho

• Mo — Phra Konakam

• Put — Phra Kassapa

• Tha — Phra Sakyamuni

• Ya — Phra Sri Ariyametrai

These syllables are also traditionally linked with harmony among the elements.

The four rows of characters contain further sacred formulae:

• Na Ma Pa Tha — heart of the Four Elements

• Phuttha Sang Mi — heart of the Triple Gem

• Ma Au — heart of the Tripitaka

• A Ra Hang — heart of Nirvana

Finally, the four Thai numerals—known as Trinisinghe—complete the yantra. They are traditionally understood to represent four sacred entities within the universe and to reinforce the amulet’s spiritual field.
