Luang Phor Pard and the First Batch of Khun Paen (2540)

Luang Phor Pard of Wat Ban Kruat, Buriram, remembered today as one of the saintly elders of the Isan south-eastern region, lived to the age of 105 and was regarded as the “Saint of the South Isan.” Known for his mastery of both traditional herbal medicine and Khmer occult sciences, his works were rooted deeply in compassion but carried a sharp reputation for effectiveness. Among the most sought-after of his creations is the first batch of Khun Paen amulets, a series that encapsulated his understanding of plai guman (child spirit powders), Khmer Seneh practices, and other arcane blends gathered during his years of training in Cambodia and across the northeast.

These early Khun Paen were not produced in large numbers, and their rarity adds to their weight. What made them exceptional was not only the sacred form of Khun Paen—a figure long associated with charm, attraction, and luck in love and business—but the depth of materials and incantations infused into them. The powders inside were complex, layered with relic soils, herbs, and prai elements, each carefully harmonised through LP Pard’s meditative power.

A Tightly Knit Lineage of Masters

LP Pard was not working in isolation. His powders and ritual methods became an essential ingredient in the works of other leading figures. Notably, Luang Phor Chern of Wat Ta Ee drew directly from LP Pard’s powders in the making of his own celebrated amulets. This collaboration highlights how tightly knit this circle of northeastern monks truly was. Together they maintained and advanced the strongest traditions of Seneh wiccha, a discipline particularly vibrant in the northeast where Khmer influence ran deep.

This network included figures who carried immense renown, and even Luang Phor Tim of Wat Lahanrai, widely recognised as one of the greatest in Thai history, acknowledged the value of such powders and wiccha. Within this fraternity, the knowledge of plai guman and Cambodian Seneh formed the backbone of their practice. Their combined skill gave birth to amulets that are not only revered for attraction and charisma, but also for prosperity, protection, and the ability to draw opportunities and benefactors into the wearer’s life.

Blessings of LP Pard’s Khun Paen

The Khun Paen of LP Pard’s first batch stand as both historical relics and functional charms. They carry blessings of:

  • Maha Sanaeh (Great Attraction): Drawing love, admiration, and loyalty.

  • Metta Maha Niyom: The kindness and support of others in business, society, and personal life.

  • Maha Lap: Fortune, wealth, and opportunities in both trade and career.

  • Authority with Compassion: Respect and recognition balanced with LP Pard’s personal ethos of metta and dharma.

For collectors and devotees, these Khun Paen are not only a testimony to LP Pard’s saintly character but also a bridge to the wider lineage of northeastern Seneh masters, whose knowledge of Khmer and Isan occultism remains unmatched to this day.
