Historical Background
LP Pae Khemangkaro (B.E. 2448β2542) was the revered former abbot of Wat Pikulthong, Singburi, widely respected for his Buddhist scholarship, meditation practice and extensive contributions to the local community.
His deep admiration for Somdej To Phrommarangsi of Wat Rakhang inspired him to create numerous Phra Somdej editions, beginning around B.E. 2482.
Among his most celebrated creations was the Phra Somdej Pae Phan, B.E. 2510, named in honour of both LP Pae and Phra Athikan Phan, the former abbot of Wat Pikulthong who ordained him as a novice.
The success of this edition led to subsequent releases, including Pae 2 Pan, Pae 3 Pan and later variations.
The B.E. 2512 Pae 3 Pan belongs to this important early series and remains a recognised favourite among collectors of LP Pae's Phra Somdej.
