Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits

My interest in LP Noi became much deeper while researching the masters of LP Up of Wat Thong Sai. Through this research, I came to understand the importance of LP Noi as one of LP Up's principal teachers, particularly in Vipassana meditation.

This connection was especially meaningful to me because meditation played an important role in LP Up's later spiritual development. During his period of practice in North-Eastern Thailand and the Lao region, LP Up meditated upon Mae Pim, a practice that subsequently became closely associated with his famous Mae Nang Pim tradition.

After I began wearing and venerating sacred objects of LP Noi, my own experience was strongly connected with wealth and Baramee. As my circumstances improved, my social and business network also expanded. I gradually came into contact with people of greater experience, influence and standing, and several eventually became important benefactors who helped open opportunities along the way.

Wish fulfilment has also been particularly noticeable to me. In this respect, I personally place properly blessed pieces of LP Noi alongside sacred objects from masters such as LP Jong, LP Mui and LP Kuay.

The attraction for me is therefore not simply the age of LP Noi's amulets. It is the lineage behind them and the steady way their blessings have appeared through actual use.

Summary

This B.E. 2510 (1967) Roop Lor of LP Noi Inthasaro of Wat Thammasala, Nakhon Pathom, represents one of the important old master traditions of Central Thailand.

LP Noi was respected for meditation, traditional Wicha and the preparation and blessing of sacred objects. Of particular importance was his knowledge of Vipassana meditation and Nam Mon — consecrated holy water.

His importance also extends through the masters traditionally connected with his teaching lineage. LP Noi is remembered as a teacher associated with several monks who later became highly respected masters in their own right.

The Roop Lor is traditionally carried for protection, Klaew Klaad, Maha Amnat, Metta Maha Niyom, Baramee, career and business support, favourable opportunities and fulfilment of wishes.

Historical Background

LP Noi Inthasaro (หลวงพ่อน้อย อินทสโร) was the revered abbot of Wat Thammasala in Nakhon Pathom.

He was born on 12 May B.E. 2426 (1883) and entered the monkhood at Wat Thammasala in B.E. 2446 (1903). He remained in the Sangha throughout his life and passed away on 17 November B.E. 2513 (1970) after 67 rains retreats.

LP Noi belonged to an older generation in which meditation practice and traditional Wicha were closely intertwined. Knowledge was transmitted directly between teacher and disciple, often requiring years of discipline and practice before more advanced methods were entrusted to a student.

He became particularly respected for Vipassana meditation, ritual consecration and the preparation of Nam Mon.

This teaching lineage is important when studying later masters whose sacred objects became famous throughout Thailand.

LP Noi's Lineage of Disciples

LP Noi's importance can also be understood through the respected masters traditionally associated with his teaching lineage.

Among those connected with his instruction are:

  • LP Ngern of Wat Don Yai Hom — one of Nakhon Pathom's most respected masters, renowned for sacred objects associated with protection, Metta and prosperity.

  • LP Toh of Wat Pradoochimplee — remembered for profound meditation practice and his celebrated Phra Pidta tradition.

  • LP Jong of Wat Na Tang Nok — one of the highly regarded old masters associated with protection and traditional Wicha.

  • LP Cham of Wat Takong — respected particularly for Metta and protective Wicha, and himself an important teacher connected with LP Tae of Wat Sam Ngam.

  • LP Up of Wat Thong Sai — famous among collectors for the Mae Nang Pim lineage and numerous sacred-object traditions.

The presence of such important names illustrates why LP Noi occupies an important position when tracing the transmission of old Nakhon Pathom Wicha.

Vipassana Meditation & LP Up

One of the most interesting aspects of LP Noi's lineage is his connection with LP Up.

LP Noi was an important teacher in LP Up's study of Vipassana meditation. This becomes particularly relevant when studying the later development of LP Up's Mae Nang Pim practice.

During LP Up's period of practice in North-Eastern Thailand and the Lao region, meditation became central to his spiritual cultivation. It was during this period that Mae Pim became connected with his meditative practice and subsequent sacred-object tradition.

This history also helps explain why certain Mae Pim batches and traditions associated with LP Up have connections beyond Nakhon Pathom and into the North-Eastern Thai and Lao region.

The relationship demonstrates something easily overlooked when studying amulets: behind the finished sacred object is often a much older chain of meditation practice, teacher-to-disciple transmission and accumulated Wicha.

Nam Mon – The Art of Sacred Holy Water

LP Noi was also highly respected for his knowledge of Nam Mon, or consecrated holy water.

Although the preparation of holy water can appear outwardly simple, within traditional Thai Wicha its proper preparation is regarded as a serious test of a master's concentration and ability to empower elemental material.

Water is prepared through meditation, Kata, sacred inscriptions and ritual intention. The master's task is to consecrate an ordinary physical element so that it becomes a medium through which blessings are transmitted.

For this reason, older practitioners sometimes regarded the effectiveness of a master's Nam Mon as one indication of the depth of his Samadhi, Baramee and ritual accomplishment.

LP Noi's reputation in this field therefore complements his standing as a meditation teacher. His Wicha was grounded in disciplined mental cultivation rather than ritual form alone.

Sacred Material & Ritual

This B.E. 2510 Roop Lor belongs to the traditional cast-image form, presenting LP Noi seated in meditation upon a raised base.

The image of the master itself carries particular significance. A Roop Lor is intended to maintain remembrance of the teacher, allowing the devotee to carry his image and contemplate his discipline, teachings and Baramee.

The darkened aged surface visible on this example gives the piece a particularly strong old-world character. Areas of exposed metal can be seen naturally across the raised surfaces, while darker material remains within recessed areas.

The casting and finishing of these older Roop Lors were individually carried out, producing natural differences in surface texture, casting definition, patina and small details. Such variations give each surviving piece its own individual character.

Traditional Blessings

LP Noi's Roop Lor is traditionally regarded as a broad and balanced master amulet.

Baramee & Maha Amnat
Associated with personal presence, authority, courage, leadership and receiving respect from others.

Metta Maha Niyom
Traditionally carried for goodwill, acceptance, helpful relationships and support from people encountered through everyday life.

Wealth & Opportunity
Favoured by devotees seeking greater stability in business, improved financial circumstances and access to beneficial opportunities.

Career & Benefactors
Particularly suitable for those whose work depends upon networking, negotiation, senior support and relationships with people of greater experience or influence.

Khum Khrong & Klaew Klaad
Traditionally associated with protection and avoidance of accidents, danger and unfavourable circumstances.

Protection Against Harmful Intent
Carried for resilience when facing rivalry, intimidation, hostile environments or negative intentions from others.

Wish Fulfilment
Many devotees pray through the Baramee of LP Noi when pursuing important goals, seeking favourable developments or facing circumstances that appear difficult to resolve.

Meditation & Spiritual Development
Because of LP Noi's reputation as a meditation teacher, his image is also particularly meaningful for practitioners seeking concentration, mindfulness and steadiness of mind.

Modern Application

For modern devotees, LP Noi's Roop Lor is especially suitable for those working in environments where relationships, authority and reputation are important.

Business owners may carry it when developing new contacts or negotiating agreements. Professionals may wear it when meeting senior figures, seeking advancement or entering unfamiliar circles.

Its Baramee aspect also makes it meaningful for people gradually moving into greater positions of responsibility. Rather than focusing solely upon immediate financial luck, the traditional character of the piece encompasses the wider conditions that can support progress — credibility, helpful relationships, sound judgement and access to the right people.

For meditation practitioners, the Roop Lor additionally serves as a direct reminder of LP Noi's emphasis on inner cultivation and disciplined practice.

Physical Details

This B.E. 2510 example depicts LP Noi seated in meditation upon a rectangular raised base, preserved within an older protective casing.

The surface has developed a deep dark appearance with naturally exposed metallic highlights across the face, robes, knees and raised areas of the casting. The ageing gives the Roop Lor considerable character while retaining a recognisable portrait of the master.

The accompanying Samakom certification provides an additional reference for the attribution of the piece.

Each Roop Lor was individually cast and finished from prepared material, so differences in casting texture, surface tone, patina and small details are naturally encountered from one example to another. These variations are part of the individual character of an old handmade sacred object.

Recommended Pairing

LP Noi's Roop Lor pairs particularly well with amulets associated with wealth, Baramee, Metta and career advancement.

For business owners or professionals, it can be combined with wealth-oriented pieces to support both opportunity and the relationships required to develop those opportunities.

Metta Maha Niyom pieces complement its social and benefactor aspects, while protective amulets provide a natural pairing for those who travel frequently or work in demanding environments.

There is also a particularly meaningful lineage pairing with sacred objects of LP Up, especially for collectors interested in the teacher-disciple connection and the transmission of meditation and Wicha between generations.

As a complete master-image amulet, however, the LP Noi Roop Lor is equally suitable to be worn alone.

Personal Notes

The more I researched LP Up, the more I realised that understanding the student requires understanding the masters who came before him.

That journey brought me to LP Noi.

His importance extends far beyond a single batch of amulets. His meditation teaching, knowledge of Nam Mon and connection with later generations of respected masters place him within an important stream of old Central Thai Wicha.

After personally wearing and venerating his sacred objects, I came to appreciate another aspect of his tradition: Baramee that develops together with opportunity.

My own experience was an increase in wealth accompanied by a widening circle of contacts. I met people of greater standing and Baramee, and some became benefactors who helped create opportunities that would otherwise have been difficult to reach.

For me, that combination of wealth, Baramee, benefactors and fulfilled wishes is what makes LP Noi's sacred objects especially memorable.

The B.E. 2510 Roop Lor therefore represents more than the portrait of an old master. It carries the memory of a teacher whose meditation and Wicha continued through his disciples and into some of the most respected sacred traditions of later generations.
