These Chao Mae Guan Yin amulets were meticulously crafted from the remaining fragments of the legendary Canadian jade, the same sacred jade used to carve the largest Jade Buddha statue in Thailand—Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Thammasri Thai Jade, enshrined at Wat Dhammamongkol, Bangkok.

A Sacred Gathering of Great Masters

For the consecration of these amulets, numerous revered monks were invited, including:

Arjan Plian Panyapatipo of Wat Aranyawiwek

Luang Por Kasem Khemako

Luang Por Viriyang Sirindharo, who was a direct disciple (luksit) of Ajarn Mun Bhuridatta Thera, one of the highest-level meditation masters in Thai Buddhist history.

A Jade Beyond the Ordinary

During the ceremony, the attending masters instinctively sensed that this jade was no ordinary gemstone. They felt a mystical energy—the presence of the Payanak (Naga) spirit residing within the jade itself.

This revelation quickly spread, particularly among devotees in Northern Thailand, where reverence for the Naga is deeply rooted in local Buddhist and animist traditions. Upon hearing of the jade’s unique spiritual properties, many Northern devotees reserved this entire batch, leading to most of the amulets being distributed back to the North.

A Collector’s Testament

The amulets I have collected come directly from an individual who was among the original patrons of this sacred batch. This person not only commissioned a portion of the amulets but still possesses the original receipt from the time of order, preserving a historical and spiritual connection to this extraordinary event.

Blessings of Two Great Powers

These Chao Mae Guan Yin jade amulets carry a double blessing:

The Grace of the Buddha – Offering protection, wisdom, and peace.

The Power of the Naga – Bestowing wealth, mystical strength, and unseen guidance to its wearer.

This combination has blessed countless devotees, making these amulets highly revered for their spiritual potency and connection to both the Buddha’s teachings and the mystical Naga lineage.
