If You’re Serious About Er Ger Fong Amulets—Read This First

Back in B.E. 2551 (2008), I was still running a shop at Pearl Centre with my old partner. That was over 15 years ago, and even then we were already focused on sourcing authentic pieces with proper lineage and real spiritual backing.

That year, we had the rare opportunity to invite Hia Mao, the original founder of the Er Ger Fong shrine located on top of the police station in Yaowarat Chinatown—the only officially recognized shrine, not one of the newer commercialized setups you see today.

This was no ordinary shrine master.

Hia Mao’s spiritual connections run deep—materials used in his blessings came from the royal family and revered royal monks. He personally met both His Majesty King Rama IX and King Rama X, and had received blessings and spiritual instruction from over 1,000 monks, including legendary figures like Luang Phor Tim of Wat Lahanrai.

The batch we worked on was blessed in not one, but three major ceremonies, held in sacred spaces such as:

Wat Song Tai Hong (associated with powerful baramee and death-averting wiccha)

Wat Thepsirin – home of Chao Khun Nor, one of Thailand’s most venerated monks in recent memory

Over 200 high-level monks were involved in the consecration, creating a batch of amulets that cannot be replicated casually.

In recent years, social media platforms like TikTok have been flooded with mass-produced, theatrically hyped items that often lack proper spiritual lineage, materials, or real wiccha. As someone who has been doing this for decades—both as a collector and a practitioner—I can only say this:

Without the right baramee (spiritual merit and karmic alignment), many will continue to be misled by flashy trends, empty promises, and unverified claims.

This is not about gatekeeping—this is about preserving authenticity, lineage, and respect for sacred traditions.

Don’t chase trends. Seek out pieces tied to proper masters, lineages, and temples. The energy will speak for itself, as it always has for generations of serious devotees.
