Overview: Not a Common Palakid

This powerful piece is not a typical palakid meant for mere charm or manhood representation. It is a spiritual artifact created by Por Sala Tan, a highly respected wicha master from Fang, Northern Thailand, whose forest practice deeply engaged with spirit entities and animist traditions.

Crafted during his later years, this 6-inch palakid serves as a vessel for the energy of a Jinn leader a forest Jinn long associated with Fang’s deeper, wilder ranges. According to local accounts, this Jinn ruled over a group of lesser jinns and was known for aiding practitioners who approached with sincerity and baramee (merit).

Material and Construction

Sacred Wood Core:

The base of this palakid was carved from the core of a spiritually significant tree, known to house natural Jinns. Only the inner heartwood was selected—wood that carried the densest energy signature of the jinn’s “home.”

Ancient Script Engravings:

The body is fully inscribed with Lanna-style yants and Burmese-influenced kom script.

Spirit Face Carving:

At the base, a small glass orb is sealed into the wood. Inside is a concentrated sacred oil made by distilling the same tree’s core with rare northern herbs. This oil holds the “memory” of the spirit’s dwelling and serves as an anchor point for the jinn energy.
