Sacred Craftsmanship
This Tao Rit Nur Pong was created and blessed by Ajahn Plian Panyapatipo of Wat Aranyawiwek, a highly respected forest monk of the Thai Dhammayuttika tradition.
Formed from a sacred powder composition incorporating holy soils, herbal residues, ceremonial powders and Ajahn Plian's hair relics, the artifact reflects the simplicity and spiritual discipline associated with the Thai forest tradition.
Each artifact was individually formed from carefully prepared sacred materials. Natural variations in colour, texture and surface finish make every piece unique.
The photographs are representative only. A piece will be selected at random, and the item supplied may differ slightly from the exact piece shown in the images.

Personal Experiences Shared by Luksits
One particularly meaningful aspect of this Tao Rit concerns its distribution during Ajahn Plian's rare visit to Singapore.
During his visit to Wat Palelai in Bedok, Ajahn Plian personally distributed a small number of these sacred powder amulets to devotees who were present.
Unlike larger temple releases, this was remembered as a quiet occasion without extensive publicity. Those fortunate enough to attend received the artifacts directly during his visit.
Several devotees who subsequently carried the Tao Rit shared experiences of improved circumstances, including progress in business, overcoming workplace difficulties and greater concentration during meditation or chanting.
I was fortunate to obtain a batch from one of Ajahn Plian's luksits, who had collected the pieces directly from the temple when they were first released.
Although examples have commanded considerably higher prices amongst Bangkok collectors, their significance to me lies primarily in their original temple provenance and connection to Ajahn Plian's blessings.

Historical Background
Ajahn Plian Panyapatipo was a respected meditation master and abbot of Wat Aranyawiwek in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
He belonged to the Dhammayuttika forest tradition, closely associated with the teachings of LP Mun Bhuridatta and the emphasis on meditation, discipline, simplicity and renunciation.
Throughout his monastic life, Ajahn Plian was recognised for his dedication to meditation and Dhamma practice.
His occasional visits outside Thailand were particularly meaningful to overseas devotees, who rarely had opportunities to receive his teachings and blessings personally.
The Tao Rit distributed during his Singapore visit consequently holds an additional historical connection to this occasion.

Origins of the Materials
The Tao Rit was formed from a sacred powder composition traditionally associated with Ajahn Plian's monastic practice.
According to accounts surrounding its preparation, the mixture incorporated:
-
Sacred soils and powders collected from auspicious forest locations.
-
Herbal and ceremonial residues associated with chanting and traditional preparation.
-
Ajahn Plian's hair relics, regarded by devotees as a meaningful connection to their teacher.
The different coloured examples were prepared from the same underlying powder composition.
Within Thai Buddhist tradition, hair relics of respected meditation masters are often preserved by disciples as reminders of their teachers' discipline, teachings and spiritual accomplishments.

Ritual
The Tao Rit was blessed through the chanting and meditation practices associated with Ajahn Plian's forest monastic lineage.
Rather than elaborate outward ceremonies, the spiritual significance of such artifacts is closely connected with the practitioner's accumulated Baramee, meditation discipline and commitment to the Dhamma.
The sacred powders and hair relics were brought together within the Tao Rit form, establishing a physical connection between the artifact and its originating teacher.
For devotees, receiving such an object directly from a respected meditation master was regarded as an important blessing in itself.

Recommended Pairing
The Tao Rit pairs naturally with Phra Somdej, Phra Pidta or other Buddhist amulets associated with protection, Metta and Baramee.
For devotees of the Thai forest tradition, pairing it with an image of LP Mun Bhuridatta provides a meaningful connection to the meditation lineage associated with Ajahn Plian.
Such combinations emphasise spiritual discipline, protection and balanced progress in everyday life.

Personal Notes
What makes this Tao Rit particularly meaningful is its connection to Ajahn Plian's rare visit to Singapore and the original temple distribution.
I obtained these pieces through a luksit who had collected them when they were first released, preserving their connection to the original batch.
Although modest in appearance, they represent an important part of Ajahn Plian's legacy β a respected forest monk whose teachings emphasised that spiritual progress begins with discipline, mindfulness and the cultivation of wholesome actions.
