Deep in the heart of Chiang Mai, nestled within the stillness of a true forest monastery, a sacred event unfolded — one that reflects the deep spiritual resonance of Thailand’s forest monk lineage.
This Phra Pidta amulet was commisioned by Phra Ajahn Plian Panyapatipo, a revered meditation master and abbot of Wat Aranyawiwek, where he served until his peaceful passing in 2018.
During one of his daily meditation sessions, seated in the solitude of the forest temple grounds, a Mai Takien tree reached out to Ajahn — not with words, but through a deep and unmistakable spiritual presence.
For those familiar with the forest tradition, such encounters are not stories, but lived experiences grounded in silent awareness and spiritual connection.
While a master of the occult lineage, like Por Sala Tan, might have performed rituals to liberate the spirit, Phra Ajahn Plian, rooted in the strict forest tradition of Luang Pu Mun and Luang Pu Thet, instead followed the path of elevation — using his meditative power to raise the spirit into a Thep (heavenly being).
Out of this divine encounter, Ajahn carved a Phra Pidta image directly from the very Mai Takien wood of that tree — the act itself a form of Dhamma transmission. The energy was so potent, so clearly blessed, that he carved it double-sided, representing:
Dual blessings: protection and attraction
Inner sealing of the senses and outer shielding from harm
Two realms — the earthly and the divine — now unified
This wasn't merely symbolic. The act reflects the strength and rare spiritual charge within the wood, now transformed into sacred form.
It is stuffed with holy powders meticulously collected by Phra Ajahn Plian over many decades. These include:
Naga Deva powders, drawn from sacred sites linked to serpent spirits of protection and wisdom
His own hair relics, which he blessed over the years through countless meditation and chanting cycles — a personal energetic signature from a monk who lived, taught, and practiced Dhamma at the highest level
Phra Ajahn Plian was not an ordinary monk. He trained under some of the greatest meditation masters of the last century, and lived his life free from worldly attachments — a true embodiment of the Thai Forest Tradition.
This Phra Pidta isn't factory-cast or commercially made. It is hand-carved, born from spiritual communication, and empowered through decades of merit, mindfulness, and inner fire.
For those seeking deep protection, blockages removal, and a true connection to a liberated master, this amulet carries the essence of real, living Dhamma.
