This is a Yellow Jambhala amulet from Wat Suchon (BE 2565), a rare and significant piece depicting the most revered wealth deity in Tibetan Buddhism. Yellow Jambhala—also known as Dzambhala, Zambala, or Kubera—is easily recognized by his prosperous form, seated on a lotus throne, with his left hand holding a mongoose that spews endless jewels and treasures, while his right hand holds a jewel or citron fruit, symbols of abundance and prosperity. His robust, content figure radiates the qualities of wealth, generosity, and protective strength.

The Deity of Wealth

Yellow Jambhala is considered the Buddhist god of prosperity and abundance, an emanation of the Buddha Ratnasambhava. In the wider pantheon, he is connected to Vaisravana (Kubera), one of the Four Heavenly Kings and guardian of the northern direction. In Tibetan he is called Ser-Nam Thong (སེར་ནམ་ཐང་), literally “Yellow Dzambhala.” As such, he is both a guardian and a granter of wealth—worldly and spiritual. Devotees turn to him not only to overcome poverty but also to cultivate generosity, merit, and inner richness, aligning prosperity with Buddhist virtue.

Iconography and Meaning

Every element of Yellow Jambhala’s form is symbolic. The mongoose (Nehulay) in his hand represents an unending flow of wealth, spewing jewels as a sign of spontaneous bestowal. The fruit or jewel in his opposite hand emphasizes blessings of prosperity, stability, and growth. Surrounding his image, mantras and auspicious scripts act as conduits of sacred energy, affirming the connection between the devotee and the deity. His large belly and tranquil posture signify both abundance and contentment, embodying the balance between material fortune and spiritual generosity.

Blessings and Benefits

The blessings of Yellow Jambhala are considered direct and practical:

  • Wealth and Prosperity – attracts financial stability, removes poverty, and opens paths to affluence.

  • Spiritual Wealth and Merit – encourages generosity, accumulation of merit, and cultivation of inner richness.

  • Protection and Fortune – shields devotees from misfortune, obstacles, and financial instability.

  • Business and Opportunity – brings new opportunities, secures fortune in trade, and preserves wealth once attained.

  • Practice and Devotion – through mantras and water offerings, devotees can invoke both material and spiritual abundance.

The widely practiced mantra is:
Om Jambhala Jalendraye Svaha

Consecration at Wat Suchon

The power of this amulet is greatly amplified by its consecration at Wat Suchon, one of the most respected temples in the South of Thailand. The abbot of Wat Suchon is renowned as one of the few masters in the country who can reach the realms of higher deities during ritual practice—including the realm of Taowesuwan, the northern guardian king. His consecrations are recognized across Thailand as profound and effective, directly linking the devotee to the flow of fortune and divine protection.

This particular piece comes with clear provenance, obtained resale from a long-serving temple lady at Wat Suchon, well-known among the amulet circles of the South. It is the only piece available, as the rest of the batch has long since vanished into private collections. When this batch was first released, those who received it reported noticeable surges in income, business growth, and financial opportunities—testimonies that continue to enhance its reputation as a proven wealth-bringing amulet.

A Rare Opportunity

For serious collectors and devotees, this Yellow Jambhala amulet from Wat Suchon embodies both the baramee of the temple and the enduring blessings of the wealth deity himself. It is a talisman that unites prosperity, protection, and spiritual merit, making it a rare chance to obtain a piece with documented history, respected consecration, and proven results in the lives of its holders.
